SpringHill Suites Cleveland Independence - Hotel in Independence - 6060 Rockside Pl, USA

Do not stay at this hotel. Seasoned traveler got taken for a ride... We checked in late after 10pm. Walking in my room barefoot I had sticky muffin crumbs sticking to my feet. Took a shower and no soap in the dispenser. The next morning we headed out for a few hour, so I consolidated my sleeve wallet with my large wallet, but I left $50 in my sleeve wallet. The hotel does not have a safe in the room, but I advise them to install safes ASAP. Slide my wallet into my backpack, sipped it up, and turned it upside down on to of my suitcase. We proceeded to leave the hotel, but I stopped off at the desk and asked if someone could vacuum the carpet and put soap in the dispenser. Came back a few hours later to find my backpack was flipped over and gone through. My money was gone, my wife check her purse and found the money she had in a side pocket was gone. Fortunately we only had left $60 in our "secured" room. I notified the hotel staff and the knew who they sent to my room (not disclosing the guy's name), and said they have had problems with him. The following day I spoke to the hotel manager, and she said an investigation was being done, and they would be able to check video footage. The response I got was the "issue" and the "employee" had been dealt with. I was offered to receive $60 in points to compensate me. I was not pleased with the clear need to show no liability and that I could have $60 worth of points. The manager did say she was so very sorry, but I'm not sure what she was sorry for as she refused to say what the "issue" was to me. No accountability, and after repeated request to speak to a higher up manager I never received a response. I hope the manager sees this review and knows that I'm not going to just be brushed off like I must have misplaced my belongings. I spent over an hour at the police station filling out a report during my vacation. All I have to show for it is this Google review.

We enjoyed this hotel. There weren’t any rooms available with two double beds, so we opted for a room with a pull out couch. This worked fine and all the bedding we needed was available (in the closet). ||When we arrived, there was a minor problem with the bathroom door and we asked for a repair and the manager personally came up to fix it before we returned for the night, which we really appreciated. We found the service to be exceptional. ||The room was very clean, breakfast was awesome, and parking was free! We were very happy with this hotel and would certainly stay again.

Air conditioner leaked condensate all over carpet. No one was available to fix it during our two night stay. Otherwise, nice room. Pool & gym had no place to change clothes.

Let's start with the room wasn't ready at check in at 3pm !! 1. Room was dirty. You could see collected dust everywhere. Hair on the bathroom floor, makeup and coffee stain on the sheets. Crumbs on the floor!! The extra blanket and sheets were stained with pee ... I was very disappointed in the cleanliness. 2. Pool was gross, hot tub was not working and brown!! 3. Staff was ok. I say this for a few reasons. They weren’t very friendly when we initially walked in. 4. The bar was closed on Saturday. If additional amenities that guest look for ie, hot tub, on-site restaurant etc is closed, that should be noted to potential guests before booking. Over all way over priced and not a clean room !!

If I could give this place zero stars i would. booked a room for 6. Upon checking into our room there was not enough bedding pillows or bath towels for all of us. No extra linens whatsoever. The room was FILTHY. Dust and hair everywhere. There was ONE employee working at the desk on a saturday night and NO housekeeping on site at 5:00. I had to wait at the front desk for nearly an hour to get my own linens blankets pillows and bath towels. Once we were finally situated in the room the 4 kids headed down to the pool. What a disappointment to discover the pool was absolutely disgusting filthy and the hot tub was GREEN. Clearly BOTH unusable and 4 very upset kids. Nothing was communicated to us upon check in regarding this and there were no signs in the pool area stating it was closed. When i inquired at the front desk i was told it was out of service but there was no sign. Guests would get sick swimming in these conditions. Just appalling. Bar was also closed on a saturday all night because there was no staff. At $250 a night pick another place.

What a wonderful place, the rooms are updated and clean, great location with secure parking and the staff, especially the daytime manager, is the absolute best. Such caring, friendly and wonderful people. If you're in the area, this is the place to stay.

Rude staff 6/7/2024 about 5:00 pm: Front desk clerk Dorian was very aggressive and confrontational with my 14 year old daughter. She was quietly waiting in the lobby while other guests checked in. She had the edge of her foot resting on the edge of a coffee table in the lobby. Without any prior warnings he raised his voice to her in an aggressive manner instructing her to remove her foot. My daughter immediately complied. While true she should not have done that, his demeanor was loud, public, aggressive and way out of proportion to the situation.

Stayed for 2 nights for eclipse — outstanding property, room, amenities and the entire teams we had were terrific. Genuine friendly and helpful. Loved the fire pit outside. Could not have been any better, wish we had another reason to visit here again. Thanks for a great experience!
