Lovely hotel in the perfect location. The hotel is really nice. Updated decor and very cozy. The lobby has a fireplace and there's a firepit outside. There's a restaurant attached, which was good. I loved that you could rent bikes, beach chairs, etc. on site.|Despite reading several reviews about there being a noisy train track right behind the hotel, I'm happy to report that the train was not a problem. We had a partial ocean view, balcony room and we were closest to the train stop. I'm a very light sleeper, and I never heard one noise. The train stops and starts its route a few hundred yards away, so the train comes by very slowly. They did offer a white noise machine in the room, and we never used it. I actually enjoyed watching the train come and go. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. |The free breakfast was good. |One thing to note is that despite offering ocean view rooms, this hotel is not beachfront. There's one hotel in front , and ocean view rooms are in the side of the hotel. View is great and the beach is a 1 min walk. |There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops within walking distance. The Pier is very close too. You can also walk to the Top Gun House. Will definitely stay again!|
The heat/ventilation in the room is extremely loud to a point where we had to shut it off so we ended up with no fan and no air conditioning. We were told by the front desk they will send someone to look at it, but they never showed up. The breakfast is same quality as a motel. I won't recommend this hotel at all. We paid over $400 per night for the weekend, definitely overpriced. Everything just looks good in pictures. There was hardly any service and they force you to pay $35 a day amenity fee. They claim to give you 'food credit' which can be used only at their restaurant so in a way they are forcing you to eat in their restaurant.
Used a certificate for a one-night stay to help break up a short round trip to San Diego. This is a pretty basic hotel but is located only a block off the beach an easy walking distance to the Oceanside pier, and near restaurants/shops. I can see the hotel being a good spot for a family beach stay.||Some of the reviews speak of a hefty valet parking fee but when we inquired of the valet about the availability of self-parking, he directed us to a pay surface lot just around the corner of the hotel entrance. It was convenient and reasonable for overnight into the next day parking.||The hotel normally charges a $35 amenity fee that apparently can be used for food and snacks. But since we arrived well after 10 pm, the front desk clerk said she would waive the fee. (I did get charged the fee despite that, but the charge was reversed after I contacted the hotel.) The hotel's breakfast is rather basic, but at least includes make-it-yourself waffles, which are always fun.||Our room faced the ocean and had a small balcony. It wasn't described as ocean view since the beach view was blocked by a large hotel across the street, but from the balcony, you could barely make out the water. (See photo)||One annoyance: Despite having Bonvoy status, the hotel insisted on charging for a bottle of water. It's such a small gesture that costs a hotel almost nothing; why insist on nickle and diming your best customers?
I LOVED my stay here. I enjoyed my suite with the balcony, the rooftop hot tub, and the food & drinks at Hello Betty (the restaurant that’s part of the hotel) were amazing!! after I checked-out, they allowed for me to store my luggage so I went out and explored Oceanside for a few more hours. ||The location couldn’t be more perfect - within walking distance to the amtrak station, many bars & restaurants, shops, and just steps away from the ocean!!!||Shoutout to Kayla from the front desk! thanks for being so sweet and helpful :) ||I will be back forsure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good hotel in a good location. Fairly priced. Found my room unclean and lacking the commonly provided toiletries. What was annoying was that we were forced to leave the lobby while I was trying to eat dinner with my co worker. This felt unprofessional and demeaning as we were sent to our rooms like children. Not a very professional environment.
The stay was actually really great, but upon check out the front desk agent stated that my partner's card did not go through so we had outstanding charges that equated to $57.99. I decided to put my card down while my partner was loading our car. My card was charged with what i thought would be a charge of $57.99 as that is what the front desk agent said and the printed receipt said.
Low and behold, the charge on my partner's card went through for $57.99 and they charged me $133.00 LOL I have no idea where the $133 charge came from but was not what was told to me by the front desk agent or what I received as my receipt.
If you're reading this and stayed here, I would recommend double checking your credit card statements and not taking their word or printed receipts for what they say...
Location was great! However, the $35 "destination fee" was ridiculous! You had to use it at the attached restaurant. And it wasn't like they gave you $35...you paid for it on your hotel bill, then it was just deducted from your food bill next door, so you were kind of forced to eat there or just pay $35 a day extra. Then the valet parking cost was also way too high...$44 a day! Geesh! And the suite was a very weird set up. Bathroom right across from the beds so you heard everything going on in the bathroom and no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The front desk people were very friendly though and the complimentary breakfast was the typical breakfast you get anywhere, which was fine. We stayed on the oceanside, so the train noise wasn't an issue. It was barely heard and didn't keep anyone up at night. Elevator painfully slow!! Probably would not choose to stay there again due to all the additional fees.
The stay at Marriot Oceanside was very nice, the hotel is clean with a relaxing atmosphere. I was there for 2 weeks doing work in Oceanside and enjoyed every day at the hotel, the people who work there is very king. Valet parking, reception, breakfast and cleaning personell is doing a great job. The rooms are big and clean.|Hello Betty is a bar and resturant next by with good service and food.|For breakfast is was serviced from a buffet; milk, yughurt, different kind og granola and cornflakes, scrambled egg, bacon, hot muffins, variations og jam for bread, something different every day, they also have waffle machine so you could make our own, very nice for the kids.|Hotel have also rentals possibilites for cycle, surfing and beach activities.|I would recommend Spring Hull Suites by Marriot Oceanside for those of you who will stay in Oceanside.

Our experience at this location was unsanitary. I notice the concerns of COVID-19 posted on your website and your hotel entrance. However, the same did not reflect the same inside the room.

A real find. Did not know there was great vegan food in Oceanside until today. A little pricey, but, large entrees enough to feed 2 or more.
All food made from scratch. Best tasting vegan food around. Don't let the appearance of the place fool you.
