SpringHill Suites by Marriott Gallup - Hotel in Gallup - 1105 W Lincoln Ave, USA

This hotel is easy to find from the main highway (I-40). Parking is adequate. Some renovations were taking place during my stay that limited parking a bit and also meant that the pool was not available. Check-in was easy, but the staff member who attended me was distracted and not at all friendly. We had requested a near-the-elevator room and this was not given. The suite was a unique design that was visually appealing but not particularly practical. The bathroom was clean and well equipped, but it had a frosted glass door that meant everyone in the room was illuminated whenever anyone used it. Most of the towels were not in reach of the shower, which again was an odd design choice. Neither bedside light option was reachable from the bed itself. The beds were excessively firm, but the linen and pillows were clean and good. The air conditioner had a loud rattle and could not be operated properly from the provided wall controls. I had to get it going by manually fiddling with the controls on the unit itself (which you are clearly not meant to do). There is a constant sound of traffic and every 10-15 minutes there is a loud train horn to endure all night. Breakfast was very limited compared to other hotels of the Marriott group I have been to, but adequate.

Our room was nice for the 1 night we stayed. The bed was just horrible. Felt like my husband and I were laying down a sheet of concrete. Location is not nice. Homeless people in every corner. We will not be staying here again. A/C/ heater needs to be FIXED! Once the fan would be running we heard a rattle. I personally could not sleep because of how loud the rattle was. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

What a wonderful experience and to see how this hotel is blessing so many by working with project search is so special. The breakfast staff was simply wonderful and so full of kindness and joy. Even when it got really busy they never lost their smile. Amazing hotel and the GM Samuel is a class act. Highly recommend.

We stayed here twice on our recent road trip. The first stay we had no issues. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast is pretty gross, we couldn't really eat it. The second stay - we were first given a room that when we walked in saw that it wasn't cleaned yet (the bed was all undone and dirty towels were spread around) so we had to go back down to the front desk and they promptly gave us another clean room. Those were really our only issues. We would stay again if we ever pass through Gallup again!

I make work trips to Gallup, and it’s the only hotel I feel comfortable staying in. The staff are the best!! I use their conference room when I am there, and I always run out of my own supplies. Without fail, the front desk makes me extra copies and helps in anyway that they can. The hotel is nice, the rooms are always clean, but the staff are the best part of my stay.

Terribly loud ac unit. Firm mattress. Bathroom across from bed with no real door? Frosted see through glass so if you turn light on the entire bedroom is lit. Terrible design. Oh and the shower was completely messed up with water spurting out of knobs that aren’t actually there.

Sorry but will not stay here again. I usually don’t write bad reviews but this needs to be mentioned. Maybe after the renovations things will get better but as of right now not the place to stay. I will be talking with Marriott. We usually stay at Hampton Inn but it is under renovation so we decided to try Spring Hill. Trust me we asked questions since we have never stayed at this location. Was told making reservations through Marriott it had a jacuzzi and pool and both were open. This is a big deal because we are traveling west coast to east coast. Well the jacuzzi was filled in with concrete and the pool closed due to renovations. In fact the whole place is being renovated. Not a good time at all. Another downfall is the train which passes every 20-30 minutes thru the night, blaring its horn. Brings to mind the movie “My Cousin Vinnie” on rewind. Couldn’t cool off the room below 67 and when the AC came on sounded like a tank idling, probably the compressor going bad. No sleep. Not happy. The gentleman checking us in was kind and courteous so that was the positive in all this. I will be talking with them in the morning. This is something that should be noted about this location! Not worth the 136 plus tax a night.

Positive: The two women who served breakfast were fantastic. Negative: The pool smelled horrible! We had to change rooms 3 times. We were told the hotel had both a pool and a jacuzzi, it did not! We will NEVER stay here again.
