The staff here at this location is phenomenal, they go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. The breakfast was amazing and not to mention we were able to stay in the newly renovated rooms, which give the hotel a fresh look. I give this hotel a 10/10. My family and I were greatly pleased with our experience here!

My stay at Springhill Suites is always so pleasant. The whole staff was a huge help in helping decide what things to do and where to eat during the holidays. The GM Laquana was very nice with checking us in and having a welcoming spirit to her hotel. I will return again.

Checked in after midnight and did not receive the best greeting, but the agent was professional and effective... although the renovations leave the walk spaces, elevators, and hallways, with much to be desired, the room was well presented, clean, and seemed up to date. Let me be clear, i loved the room. All else was disappointing. Fitness center smells stuffy with mold on a portion of the ceiling. Looks like they are working on it, but it also looks like its been that way for some time. Equipment is dated and some machines inoperable. Breakfast was low quality, everything seemed processed and prepared with minimum effort...only good thing was the greek yogurt.... You probably should let folk know you are renovating at the time of booking. It's not a problem for me, but it's good to know in advance. I'll say again that the room was immaculate and satisfying...all else not so much. I would love to see them when the renovations are complete...looks like it will be great!

We thought our room was on the river. But the hotel was really nice. It’s more in the area of plazas and malls instead of the downtown. The staff was really nice and the accommodations clean. Breakfast was awesome! Oatmeal. Lots of toppings. Eggs sausage all kinds of breakfast and apples and bananas and yogurt

Stained ceiling, walls and carpet. Bad smelling throughout. This hotel is under (much needed) renovation which was not noted on the bonvoy app which we use to book it. We wanted to change to another Marriott but were met with indifference as we had prepaid. Disappointed with the lack of support from bonvoy as well. Owner was rude. Will never stay there again.

Stay here 1 night while visiting Charleston. The check-in process was smooth and as Titanium elite was allow to get something from the convenience for free. The room was showing old but clean. However, there are some cockroaches or bugs everywhere which was disgusting. The bathroom's wallpaper start to come out which was fine as long as it still not affected the clean of the room. Seems like they are trying to renovate the hotel. Will give another chance to stay once the hotel is fully renovated.

Currently my family and I are at the hotel. I don’t believe there is anyone working here at the moment. We checked in at 6:30pm. The lady who checked us in said if we needed pillows, towels bedding it was in the room but if we needed more to come to the front desk. My family and I went to get dinner at 7pm. We passed by the lady that checked us in outside on her phone when we left. We came back at 8:05pm no one was around. No one at the front desk. Submitted a request via the app. No one answering phones or chat. I waited til a little after 9pm. Still no one. I left a note on the front desk I wrote on a napkin. My family waited in the room the entire time. It is now 9:17pm and still nothing. I am back in the room. Waiting to see if we ever hear back or get the items we requested. Had she give them to us when I requested initially it wouldn’t have been an issue but she said we would have all we needed in the room. Yep wasn’t the case. Seriously frustrated.

The hotel is being renovated, so that will hopefully resolve the moldy shower, torn window coverings, dirty mattresses and box springs and general appearance of disrepair in the hotel. There is no way to fix the thin walls and undesirable neighborhood, however. We could hear people walking in the rooms beside us all night long. The halls smelled of smoke. The entire hotel was full of smoke one night. We were choking on smoke and awoke with our eyes, noses and throats burning. When I called the front desk I was told the hotel is in a residential neighborhood, and the residents are allowed to burn trash on their properties. She also informed me she couldn’t do anything about it -of course she doesn’t have control over the neighboring properties- and the entire hotel was full of smoke. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is pretty rundown and that is definitely the feeling in the hotel. The breakfast is just okay and the coffee was burnt every morning we were here. I would avoid this area of North Charleston. The traffic on Ashley Phosphate is terrible and there are few food options whiting walking distance of the hotel. The hotels on Montague are probably a much better option for most travelers.
