I have to give credit where it’s due first; Pretty good management. They took care of us and made sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately, there’s one big problem that warranted two stars…probably should be one star. Our first room had bed bugs…we found a few live ones crawling on the bed and pull out couch/bed. Then, we ripped the headboards off and there were dozens of dead ones and a few live ones. They switched our room, and they washed/dry cleaned all of our clothes and bags. The breakfast isn’t that great. You don’t have many options, and beyond that, when it’s time (or close to time) for breakfast to end? They are VERY punctual. They start taking things up way before breakfast ends. If you ask for something they already carried off, it’s “sorry, there isn’t any. Breakfast is over.” A lot of the staff of the hotel didn’t care much, although, you do notice a few who do care. Unfortunately, it’s ruined by the ones who don’t. Our new room was fine. We checked everywhere, but upon sliding the couch away from the wall we noticed they absolutely do not clean behind the couches. 🤦‍♂️ It’s an option for the area, but see if you maybe can afford a different suggestion first.

Mixed review. Great location, rooms are spacious and clean. However... Know that the rooms can be very noisy. On our first night, the room next to us had a lot of people being extremely loud. We had been traveling all day and asked the front desk to change rooms as I didn't want to be a bah humbug to the persons party but the front desk said they didn't have any rooms. Ok, it was still around 9 pm, so maybe they'd quiet down by sleep time. Nope! 12:40 am and they were still being extremely loud. I called the front desk....they offered to switch rooms - part of my party was asleep so that wasn't an option. Front desk said, "oh". I asked what quiet hours were and the front desk said, I don't know and didn't say they would do anything about the noise. I just left it alone after that as i wasn't going to bother the people having the party. After another hour or so, the party quieted down on their own. Great, fell asleep. 7:30 am, woke up too the wonderful sound of the party goers next door throwing up and then getting loud again. The second night, we heard people making loud whoopee in their room from the hallway. Good for them but again poor sound insulation. After that, it got quieter (minus the person above us constantly banging the floor) but just be aware that it could be loud. Shower pressure is terrible. If you get a quiet room, I'm sure it will be a pleasant to stay but if you are sensitive to noise, you may want to stay somewhere else.

I really don’t like posting bad reviews but this place has seen better days. The front desk staff is very friendly but there were a ton of spills and stains on nearly every floor. My room, the elevator, the hallway and in the lounge. Not to mention a shower fixture that was barely hanging on. If it wasn’t for the staff I’d give it one star but the place was nasty.

Our stay was during the global IT outage so the systems were down upon arrival. Despite the chaos, all staff were so sweet. They handled everything in a very professional manner. Rooms are comfy and spacious. Property is clean. New fav hotel in the Bay! ☺️

The room was nice and clean! but the way it is designed is very weird! bathroom in front of the bed and TV completely off place. we had to ask for the shampoo and a blanket because there were none in the room. Breakfast for the price was awful! nothing to eat really! When I compared it to cheaper motels.

Honestly I was surprised this hotel had so many good reviews considering the cleanliness of our room. When I brought the concerns up to the person at the front desk after seeing our room, her only reply was that she would send someone by with new linen if I’d like- (she said there was supposed to be extra linen in the cabinet in the room but also that was not stocked), she proceeded to tell me to go ahead and change the linen myself. She did not appear to be surprised or care at all of the condition of our room. There are juice stains on the sofa and the back of the decorative pillow. The juice stains are also i inside the pull out bed (we had planned on using the pull out for our child but didn’t because of how disgusting it was). Inside the pull out sofa bed are were what look like scabs, crumbs, and more juice stains on the sheet. On the floor below the pull out bed were more juice stains and also a brown stain. The king bed had blood stains on the linen. The curtain has what appears to be kids handprints with a sticky substance and what appears to be green and brown boogers. It was our first time staying at a Springhill Suites and it will be our last. I am hoping that whoever cleaned our room was just having a bad day because this room was absolutely disgusting.

Room was great (as usual). Pool could fit maybe 6 comfortably. The food was great. The lady at the bar was so nice and friendly. Kids loved the brownies ice cream so much they ordered it twice. It was that yummy.

Our stay at the Springhill Suites was a complete disaster and we will not be returning since there are several other options in the local area. We were originally booked into a room in which the shower stopped working on the day after our arrival. The tap spun around but now water would come out so we were moved to another room. Having been advised not to drink the water from the taps we asked for bottled water but were told that the hotel had run out. There were no facilities in the room to make tea. The receptionist gave us some “tea capsules” however these were completely incompatible with the coffee machine in the room (useless). The room was supposed to be cleaned and refreshed every other day but the staff frequently seemed to forget / miss our room. It is frustrating having to keep pestering the reception staff for the basics. Breakfast at this hotel was a disaster. The selection of food and beverages was rather poor. We had plastic knives and forks with which we had to attempt to spread a rock hard “brick” of butter onto a toasted muffin or bagel while it sat on a paper plate or bowl (that’s right - on one day they ran out of plates so breakfast could only be eaten from a paper bowl. The shower in our room ran out of soap half way through our 2 week stay. Another trip to beg for housekeeping to provide the basics. We also had to ask for an engineer to de-scale / clean the shower as the flow gradually decreased during our stay. Th receptionist asked my wife if we could wait a few days but we feel that a functional shower isn’t something we should have to beg/wait for. The Internet went down for hours on 2 occasions. There was no warning or explanation and no courtesy call when it came back up. One day a letter was posted under the door regarding the water would be cut off for several hours while some maintenance was performed. It is understandable that essential maintenance needs to be performed but, on top of everything else, this seemed like the final straw. The reception staff range from friendly and helpful to completely disinterested. As a hotel guest you are sometimes made to feel like you are the problem rather than being made to feel welcome and assisted with your request. For example, after finding that our room hadn’t been cleaned and the towels could do with being refreshed, I couldn’t face going to reception and took some towels from the gym. These tiny towels were useless but enabled me to get by until the room was eventually serviced. I’m sure there are things that we’ve missed from this list however we reached the point halfway through our stay where we gave up and looked towards our departure and return to civilisation. We will not be returning to this hotel or this chain as a result of this experience and would warn others to think twice before booking. Towards the end of our stay, we noticed that the hotel had taken “reserve deposits” of over £2000 in case of damage. The manager told my wife that the hotel has the right to reserve any amount of money since we’re staying in a $9 million dollar hotel. It is unbelievable that a hotel thinks they can take money from our bank to a value of double the cost of our stay without any notice. We are lucky that we have sufficient funds in the account to cover it.

My only complaint is that I had no cell reception in my room, and the hotel wifi was twitchy at best and kept dropping. (I try to avoid it most of the time). I am used to that in rural areas, but not in the bay area. One night would have been tolerab
