This was overall a great stay. Clean spacious room. Housekeeping only comes every other day which is perfectly fine because they give you plenty of towels and wash cloths. Very short walk to the beach great pool and hot tub. The breakfast is good too, but I do wish they would expand the meat option a bit. I'm not a fan of sausage and every day it was a different sausage option (links, vegetarian, turkey, etc.) Rotate this with some bacon, canadian bacon, ham or something like that.

I highly recommend choosing Amelia Island / Fernandina Beach, and definitely this hotel for a family vacation. The hotel has a large and clean pool with plenty of lounge chairs. It is close to the beach as well as many restaurants, shops and activities in the historic district of the area. The rooms and lobbies are well kept, there is plenty of parking (covered and uncovered) and the staff is helpful and friendly. One thing that was different this time compared to our first stay last year was that the hotel's poolside bar and grill had a much smaller food menu than before. The food we did have was still very good, but we hope that the menu change is only temporary as the original larger menu was excellent!

Great location, one block from Main Beach. Good-sized clean pool with lots of seating. Pet friendly hotel but never smelled like pets and very clean. Wish we'd reserved a room with a little balcony. Underground parking is great during Florida popup rain. Only 5 min drive up Atlantic Ave. into downtown Fernandina Beach.

An absolute fabulous hotel. If your looking for a great hotel stay, you won't be disappointed here. The room was very clean and comfortable pillows and beds. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Made you feel like family. When back in the area I will choose here.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel. In the beautiful laidback town of Fernandina Beach, this hotel is amazing. It's really two hotels connected to each other- SpringHill Suites and Courtyard. They share a pool (complete with fountains, ambient lighting, poolside grill, and weekly entertainment). There are two main ways to get between the hotels: a quiet indoor corridor with art on display (this is also how you access the meeting rooms) and an outdoor path by the pool with stone pavers and landscaping. ||There are pros to staying at either hotel, but we stayed in the SpringHill Suites for two benefits- the first is free breakfast. It's worth noting that by staying at the SpringHill Suites, you can benefit by eating the free breakfast *and* you have the option of walking across the way and purchasing food from the Courtyard's restaurant; those who stay at the Courtyard can only order from the restaurant but can't come over for the free breakfast.||The second is the ability to bring a dog (again, only at the SpringHill Suites side). Marriott brands tend to have a higher dog fee comparatively, but this hotel's dog fee is per-stay at the time of writing this review, so with each consecutive night it's a better and better value. They also provided my dog with a bowl, treat, and ball.||There's a per-day parking fee, so you'll need to budget for that.||Before I mention the rooms, there were two more good surprises I didn't realize before arriving. The first is that things are "big" here! Sometimes a hotel is smaller than the pictures imply with certain photography angles, but not here- there's a ton of breathing room in public spaces. The lobby is a super large room with plenty of seating. The pool is large. The ceilings are high. It's wisely laid out though so you're not trekking long at all to get anywhere. ||The second surprise is that the beach is so close. You walk down a sidewalk, you cross one road, and you're practically on sand.||Finally the rooms- so clean. The rooms are the "newer SpringHill Suites" style if you know those are like. Ours was not one of the rooms you could see the ocean from, but we could see the adjacent park and skatepark in the distance. Everything was incredibly maintained- everything in the main room and everything in the bathroom. Not a single thing out of place.||I need to give a special shout out to Josh at the front desk. He is the absolute best and went out of his way to be helpful, kind, funny, and professional. He knew so much about the area. Every staff member I encountered was also helpful and said hello. This is a great place to stay.

The hotel is clean and pleasantly decorated with a great pool area. Please note it is not on the beach, but two blocks in - although you have a great ocean view from rooms on the east side. The breakfast was a one-star for sure - not what was expected of a Marriott property. After the first day, we went elsewhere for breakfast .|Having booked one of the most expensive rooms didn't mean our room was ready on time. We waited in the lobby until 4:45 as others passed us by. The staff was apologetic and kind but we were certainly losing patience. Our room was a oceanview balcony and the sunrises were spectacular.

Oh Springhill, you had such potential. We found this place a few years ago and visited when you were still relatively new and it was great. Our most recent stay, the end of June 2024 was less. The management and training here are a bit lacking compared to almost any other Marriott. Early check-in was not an option as it appeared to be very busy. Room upgrade was of course not an option either. When checking in it appeared the man had been overworked and had no more hospitality left to give. The room was good although the sinks here always seem to run slow. The pool was a bit cloudy and the pool towels and lounge chairs were a bit worn. Pool bar no longer has a mixed drink list but they can make what you want. Again the staff seemed a bit overworked although they still mustered good service and hospitality.|The breakfast was vastly different from our previous stay. Very much abbreviated, no waffles, no fruit, no toppings for oatmeal, out of orange juice, out of coffee flavorings, and in general just so much less than our previous visit.|The last inconvenience was our room keys were deactivated and we couldn't get into our room after our morning pool dip. Checkout was 11:00 and we didn't think late checkout was necessary.|We like this location as does everyone. Please Marriott do what is needed to improve the management of this once-great property.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and love it! The location is perfect and the staff is amazing. Josh in particular at the front desk was personable, knowledgeable and likely the friendliest person we’ve ever met!!! So thank you Josh and staff for a perfect stay! We will definitely be back soon!

The location and service at this hotel are great, but the pictures must have been taken awhile ago, and the rooms need updating. Our room smelled of mildew from the moment we got there. I know this happens close to the ocean but this is why maintenan
