Spring Street Inn 1889 - Featured Reviews (68)
Excellent experience and comfort for a lot less than that big Hotel. Three blocks from all the excitement. August, the owner, is quite the character and a wealth of local information. His hostess, Janiel, is one of the warmest and kindest persons you'll ever meet. We had a fantastic upstairs room with a HUGE tub and separate shower. It was all way cool. Free parking and no hidden fees, way cleaner.
My wife and I were in Hot Springs for a wedding in March of 2024 and had a delightful stay at the Spring Street Inn. August was a terrific host, and the Carriage House was spacious and comfortable. The Inn is close to the bath houses and historic attractions as well. We would stay again if we find ourselves back in Hot Springs.
We stayed here for our honeymoon 3 years ago and stayed again for this trip. It was still a great experience! We stayed on the first floor of the carriage house. Breakfast was great and the room was very clean and cozy. We will recommend staying here to anyone wanting a relaxing place to stay while in Hot Springs! August and his crew do a great job making you feel welcome!
My 10 year old daughter and I traveled to Hot Springs for a girls trip. We stayed 2nd floor of the carriage house. That was what we were told was available, but once we got there, we were the only ones there. I'm assuming it's easier than cooling the entire house if several rooms aren't booked. The interior of the room was wonderful and exactly like the pictures. Large comfy bed, nice sitting area, and beautiful bathroom. ||The exterior of the property needs updating/renovating badly, but it does not affect the quality of the stay. Everything needs a fresh coat of paint and landscaping needs to be completely re-done. Owner mentioned they were working on it. The owner/couple appear to be only staff, and they are attentive and helpful. ||Conveniently located, and you can walk to Bath House Row from the property. ||Overall, wonderful, quiet place for the price of a hotel. Much more comfy, cozy, and private than a hotel. Also, breakfast served to the room (in our case first floor entrance kitchen area). Breakfast was good, convenient, and more than we could eat.
We loved our stay in the Carriage House. It is perfectly decorated with everything you need! The huge whirlpool tub was amazing! August, the owner, was exceptional as a host. I would definitely recommend to my friends snd family!
We stayed on the first floor of the Carriage House. The exteriors of the property looked a bit tattered (I think some repair and renovations are underway) but the room itself was very clean and comfortable. One showers in a large jacuzzi tub that's a bit of an effort to get into and out of, so take that into account. Breakfast was delivered into the small separate kitchen (a Covid accommodation) and was very good. ||The property is a very short drive from downtown. It wouldn't be a bad walk but it was hot....so we drove.||The proprietor was friendly and accomodating.
My wife and I stayed in the 1st floor of the Carriage House and thoroughly loved our weekend. The furnishings are lovely, plush and elegant. I highly recommend and it's likely we will return.||||The room is furnished with multiple antique pieces. The highlight of the room is the 2-person jacuzzi tub set off the main room separated by a partial wall with a fireplace. We didn't stay during the winter so we didn't get to enjoy the fireplace ambiance, but we did use the votive candles near the bath, creating a lovely, relaxing environment. The room truly was beautiful.
We had a weekend getaway from Dallas while my parents kept our boys. We stayed in the Grand Magnolia. Nice clean room, and it stayed cool despite 100 degree temps. August is an amazing host. He was incredibly nice from the time of booking, throughout our entire stay. Plus, good breakfast every morning. We would absolutely love to stay again (maybe next time in the carriage house). It sounds like they are starting a new women’s retreat package, which is cool.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reserve at Hot Springs. The house was absolutely stunning. If you're a fan of historical homes, do not miss out on this one! I loved the original features of the home, from the grand staircase and transom windows
Quick, easy, no traffic, 15 minute parking right by.
The water is hot so be careful. Like hurts hot. Especially in the summer. We filled our jug and just let it cool.
The water is flavorless, didnât have any issues with it.
OMG this was so much fun, I am glad we were able to make it in.
Robots and theme are so cute and it was great fun to watch them and listen to their dialogue.
Waffles on a stick are AMAZING and the ones with ice cream are AWESOME too, I loved both i
