This is such a great place to visit; we stayed during the Labor Day weekend. Their staff is amazing, and rentals are easy to secure. Their quite time from 10 pm to 8 am is strictly enforced which I am so grateful for. I would highly recommend this place.
When we checked, the lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful. We got the key to our room, and for the most part, it was clean. There was a lot of hair in the shower drain. Had to clean it before using the shower. The location is awesome.
Definitely will come back again. Brandi communicated everything to where it was easy to know exactly what was expected when I got there. A plus customer service. Will stay again!
I love this place, been comming for years, everytime is a whole new place to make more memories, staff is great, and love what they have done to the place. Very friendly and a nice place for Play , and vacation
I have never been treated the way I was treated at this RV/marina!|After checking in and paying my balance upon arrival, I was given a map and said have a nice day. I then drive to my site to see that there was no way to make it through the gate and cut it into my pull through site without hitting trees. |Knowing it was a full weekend, I decided to just pull past the site and backed into it, knowing that it was possible to clear all the obstacles. Seeing that it was my maiden voyage since losing my husband,(an emotional enough experience) I was doing this solo without a spotter, and managed to park it after several attempts. While at my family’s changing of command ceremony, (which is why I was here in San Angelo (cross country )to begin with) I received a call from the RV/marina saying that I needed to return to turn my trailer around. When I explained to her where I was and that I would not be able to return until the afternoon to do so, she then became short and hung up the phone. When I did return, in my Sunday best attire, I asked her how she wanted me to go about changing the situation, since I was unable to pull straight in without hitting any of the obstacles. She then told me many people do it without a problem and if I did not like it, then I was free to find another place to stay. I then went back and changed out of my Sunday best and hooked up the trailer and visited her to settle up a refund of my bill for the days that I would not be staying. She then told me “you were given directions on how to park yet you didn’t do it.” She then told me I can’t help it if you can’t read and follow a map. I told her…. No one gave me directions they just handed me a map and said have a nice stay. I then asked her where on the map does it say which direction to go down and she then said she was going to have me escorted out of the building when I questioned her. When I again asked her if I could see the map, she then told me you have a map you go look at it, as she was slamming her hands down on the marble desk. I then asked her to please not slam your hands on the desk, that she was taking a very threatening tone with me, and she slammed her hands on the desk and said for me to get out of her building, or she would have the lake police come and take me out. “You’re going to throw me off your property because I’m asking to look at a map?” |I then pointed at a guy standing behind her at the desk and asked him if I said anything wrong here! She screamed “don’t point at him and don’t talk to him he’s a minor!” |So I apologized and directed the question to her. She then screamed at me to leave the property. |I was treated like this even after I cut my day short with my family for the whole reason that I was here to come take care of a problem. I’ve then asked to see a copy of my invoice. She says you have an email that has your invoice I don’t have to give one to you. She said if you have a problem take it up with your credit card company. I could really care less about the fact that I’m not getting a refund. My problem is how this is how they treat their customers. |I left the property not allowing her to see that she upset me…..|But when I arrived at the KOA ….. I was so upset and clearly emotional that here I am doing this on my own without my husband for the first time and now family time meant to be celebrating I was now having to deal with this…….. let’s just say…. The people who run the KOA are compassionate people and I clearly should have stayed there in the first place.
I have spent 2 weeks at this beautiful campground on the shores of Lake Nasworthy and have enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the super friendly staff. They have WiFi boxes for each guest and I had no idea how to set this up never having seen this, they sent a staff member down to hook it up for me. They have a very well stocked campground store and there is also a jet ski rental place next door! I look forward to returning next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay while I explored So many things in San Angelo—Paintbrush Alley, San Angelo state Park and make sure to get a self with one of the 121 painted sheep in town.
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. Always a great time when we camp here. Pet friendly and well maintained. I've been coming here since late 2000. I love the gated upgrade the new owners have installed, it cut down on traffic and chaos. I've never left here disappointed!! Easy reservations and check-in. Everything you could need is available on-site. I plan on many more visits in the future, just not during peak summer season. The temp gets too hot and this park becomes super busy when kids get out of school. Nasworthy is a West Texas hot spot for water sports, partiers, and big events. A drunk boaters dream come true. Once kids are back in school and Summertime winds down its becomes a lot more relaxing and peaceful.
This is the best RV park in San Angelo. Beautiful scenery right on the lake. Deer were plentiful. We only stayed a few nights but couldn’t have been happier. Service was spot on and Rayden, the owners son, has the best work ethic I’ve ever seen in a young man. He worked hard and did an amazing job cleaning our bus.

My husband passed away on July 4th and we were in need of a large place to hold his Celebration of Life Memorial. Unfortunately, everything was booked for the weekend. My niece finally got in touch with the owner of the Hideout and it was available.
