Such a lovely little thicket of forest, right in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the DFW... quiet trails, nice diversity of plant communities, & well maintained... the trails are easy enough for beginners to trek through & interesting enough for experienced hikers to enjoy. Wonderful place to visit.

Great walk. About a 2mile round trip, but the hills make it feel like more. Great workout.
I really love this place and have been going here for the last 20 years . . I saw a coyote and a raccoon on my last visit . . My only complaint is the way people trash this place
If you want to hike this is not it. This is literally a paved walking trail. Someone made like side trails but doesn't really go anywhere.
Paved walking trail is wide so it doesn't get crowded. Nature trails are unmarked. They just suddenly appear off the paved trails. You can hear George Bush and other roads. It's better than walking a neighborhood, but there are far better trails if you are looking for a nature walk.
My family loves this nature preserve! There are tons of trails and places to explore. There are two parking areas off Holford road. The north parking lot takes you to unpaved trails. The south lot takes you to extra wide paved trails. We typically see birds, squirrels, armadillos, etc when we hike.
Lovely place to walk. Bring the doggies! Nice wide paved path, gentle slopes up and down. If you are just getting back into walking like I am, perfect place to start.
