Spray Beach Oceanfront Hotel - Hotel in Beach Haven - 200 E 24th St, USA

We have enjoyed this hotel in three different visits over the past few years. The upgrades they have made are lovely, albeit pricey, but it is LBI in the Summer so it is what it is. The restaurant has good food and it’s in a great location. However, on our past visits we found the staff - from reception to bartender to waitress to be much nicer and more accommodating. This year we were highly disappointed though. It’s almost as if the owners said we’ve made the place beautiful so the staff doesn’t have to be nice. Pretty bummed about this and will have to consider if we will continue to stay here in the future. One exception - Abigail our hard working waitress that we saw for breakfast dinner AND lunch the next day was delightful. A real standout from the rest.

Front desk staff very professional and pleasant. The renovated rooms are beautiful. They were spotless. The bed was very comfortable. They did forget to clean the room even though I confirmed with the cleaning lady that they would do so. The restaurant food was good; however, the staff needs to be better trained. Quite often the waiter/waitress would not come back to the table. We ordered drinks and they were never brought to the table after repeated request. For these reasons, that is why I gave a lower service score.

Been here 3 years in a row for our wedding anniversary week. We absolutely love it! We bring a toddler with us now, and it works out perfect. The private beach access/proximity to the parking lot makes it so easy to load up all the beach gear and lug it to the beach. The pool adds another great option for families traveling with kids. The location is perfect. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, entertainment within walking/short driving distance from the hotel. Highly recommend!

All of our expectations were exceeded and we had an excellent stay! The reviews are very low and as someone who studies reviews very carefully for even the shortest hotel stay, I had low expectations going into the weekend. ||However everything was great! Small but very clean and well planned out room (we just stayed at mahalo in Cape May and it was the same size). It’s the Jersey shore and these aren’t gigantic rooms people!||Large lounge area by the pool and very family friendly. Beautiful restaurant and lobby with snacks. Tons of clean beach chairs and boogie boards to borrow. About a 30 second walk from our room to the sand. ||Very close to the downtown area of beach haven but far enough away to be quiet. The room was extremely quiet as well despite being overlooking the restaurant couldn’t hear a sound. Plenty of parking, all in all an easy, fun, clean and updated hotel!

I never leave reviews but I had to. For the price this motel, not hotel is subpar in various areas. I’ve been staying lbi for 30+ years. I was excited to try this place seeing it was part of Hotel Lbi. When we arrived, there was zero parking. The woman at the front desk said there are no assigned spots for guests. It’s open to everyone. At $600 per night, you should be able to park your car in the hotel lot. No one to help with your bags. There was no cart to get your stuff to your room. The rooms are new and clean. But the air conditioning does not cool the room even on the coldest setting. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. When I walked down to explain to the front desk that our room was hot and we needed more towels, the woman could not be bothered to assist me. She said she could send someone tomorrow to look at the air conditioning and handed me towels. The body wash dispenser on the shower wall was empty so they handed us two small hand soaps to use because no one was available to refill it. I would think these would be checked when housekeeping was cleaning a room and getting it prepared for the next guest. This place gives self checkout counter vibes. No plug to charge your phone anywhere near the bed. You had to charge your phone access the room by the dresser. The elevator and outside is very run down and old. Tons of stairs. This motel is for families with very little children. The beach and pool are filled with little ones crying and screaming. Which is fine if you are vacationing with little ones. But we weren’t so it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience for us. If you want to relax and get treated like you matter this isn’t the place. I highly recommend that you don’t waste your time or money. Try somewhere else.

Highly disappointed. We booked a 2 night short vacation with our family. For a 3 star hotel, we paid $800 a night. The only pro is close to the beach. But after our experience here, I Rather take the walk or drive to the beach. Firstly, we booked an ocean front view and we are looking at a parking lot and sand dunes. Secondly, our tv did not work. Someone came to try to fix it and couldn’t. He said he would call a manager and came back and said the manager said we can leave. We are on vacation!? Why is the first option to tell your guests to leave on their vacation. There was no manager on-site at the time so the next morning we came to the front desk to speak with a manager. We had a HORRIBLE encounter with the manager Jamie. She again said “you can just leave” she was so nasty and unprofessional. Not once apologized or tried to offer a solution. When we told her it wasn’t much of an ocean front view, she said “what are you talking about it definitely is” when we are clearly looking at a parking lot. Showed her our pictures and she continued to say, “you’re pointing your camera down”. Her only solution was to leave with NO REFUND!?!? Overall the worst customer service I have ever encountered at the front desk. For the price you pay, the least they can provide is professionalism and understanding that these are guests on vacation.

Very disappointed in the customer service! We booked a room for three nights for our family to have a short vacation. I called a few days before we were suppose to arrive to see if we could add a night and was told that our room had been canceled. Originally I was told that it was canceled online through their website so they weren’t able to tell me which employee canceled it, I questioned why I did not receive a cancellation email and they told me that you can opt out of the email when you cancel it online. They offered me three nights with different dates later in the week during the weekdays at a different hotel at full cost and were adamant that I was the one that canceled it. I hung up and spoke to my husband and neither of us canceled the reservation. We were very excited for our vacation and had hired a Pet Sitter and taken off work, I wrote an email explaining the situation and asking how that could happen and the email response said that someone had phoned and canceled the reservation. So I now have 2 different stories. Something very shady is going on and I believe they bumped us to give someone else a room. I was also very disappointed that they did not offer us any kind of discount or even say they were sorry they just kept blaming me saying that I must’ve canceled the reservation. Be aware you might show up and not have a reservation any longer.

Great hotel..loved the convenience as it is on the ocean..nice bar on the beach which allows you to bring drinks to the pool. I thought the pool was a little small for the size of the hotel but still nice and heated. Overall very clean. The only thing that was upsetting was the fact that the cleaning service never came to my room. No fresh towels, garbage never taken out and lines never cleaned.
