Sports Stadium Motel - Motel in Independence - 9803 E US Hwy 40, USA

The bed was very very comfortable. The sheets, towels and comforter were all very clean. The TV they have a smart tv with Netflix prime YouTube etc. Easy to get to business you would need. There was only a $5 deposit. Just id. No fridge in the room no microwave it's in the office. Only has a bed, trash can, Tv and one chair in the room. Nothing to sit a drink etc on except the floor or one chair. The staff was fine and courteous. Although one accidentally walked in our room. But he apologized alot. However the floors omg. I accidentally spilled a little water I whiped it up and the tissue was black. Not brown black. I had been walking around in socks I threw them away. Then used shoes. Also the walls have simple easy to clean stains, confusing why they're there. Would make the rooms a lot better if they would clean the walls and floors. I can tell they've done some upgrades TV and linens. Hopefully they would do a little extra cleaning. Makes no sense to have a spotless brand new shower curtain and nice linens, good tv as good as nicer hotels but the floors are extremely dirty. If I stayed here again. Which I may who knows. I slept so well on the bed didn't go out and $5 deposit was a huge plus. I also enjoyed the TV which is better than alot of other hotels. I would bring something to clean the floors and maybe walls. Besides floors and wall it was a descent stay.

When I went to the motel I was sent away to get cash. When I paid for the room I gave the clerk 4 20's and he gave me a room key and no change. I asked for change and got $5 back. When we entered the room we noticed there were no night stands and no bathroom door. The bedspread had many cigarette burns and we couldn't find the remote to the TV. I was given a dog chewed remote when I went to inquire. I also got a roll of toilet paper as the roll in the room had but a scant amount on it. I'd I could give this dump less than one star I would. Over priced and nasty.

This place is disgusting. If a ZERO Stars were available, it would be ZERO. I visited a lonely friend on Christmas Morning. Her room ended up being the same room a Suicide, possibly a murder happened in 2017. The story told was the young woman hung herself with the boyfriends belt, but clearly the restroom door wasn't strong enough nor the curtain rod. The restroom door was still broken off and completely gone from the hinges and the toilet was backed up not a plunger in the office, nowhere. How about the water to the toilet was turned off. I was next to the doorway for around 10 seconds and I began to feel strained. I felt like someone's hands were around my neck and I couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I felt a hot wave through and through my body, and I couldn't breathe! I left the room and was supposed to come back later that night, but, my friend was murdered in that room. .#319. The cops didn't act as if they cared for the victim nor her family. I never heard about it in the paper. No local news coverage, and, apparently no investigation. How is this? I watch a lot of shows, so, I know, "With in the 1st 48 hour's of a death, shouldn't there have been crime scene tape up for at least that long? Well, "No!" How would they make that $75 more a day without cleaning it out?? It was said that the cleaning lady of the motel was seen throwing my friends belongings within 24hours. Yeah, right in their dumpster, as she would never be returning. .. I just haven't been able to get past this visit to, "The Stadium Inn", in Independence, Missouri guys. I'm convinced, It's a death trap. Here's my statement, "NO ONE GO THERE!"

Nice staff, nice rooms, always friendly and very welcoming and will always try to work with you if you work with them! Kind people and deserve kindness!

Evidently the place in shorthanded on staff for caring for the rooms. The one that my friends stayed in had two beds only one of which was made up. Now the people in the front office were very helpful, relatively friendly and easy to deal with, and for all I know the housekeeping staff could be very nice people, it just looks to me like there aren't enough of them to take care of the facility correctly.

I would give this place zero stars if they would let me ! First the attendant quoted me one price over the phone and when I got there charged me 10 dollars more. When I got into the room the towels were not white . There were syringes behind the tables and behind the headboard of the bed not to mention tobacco from somebody rolling a blunt there's anything wrong with that it just shows how pathetic the housekeeping there is. The guy behind the counter very spoken English am I to argue with me about price of the ruling he told me it was going to be one pricing ended up being another price I would not go to this place ever there was a bug crawling on my bed is the nastiest place I've ever seen in my life

Horrible, but requires no deposit or credit card so sometimes ya do what you gotta do. They also have bugs.

Visited here again today & was pleased that it was alot better than before, still the bedspreads need washed & housekeeping needs to work a little harder but all in all it was doable after taking the bedspread off & washing out the tub so I hope they do read these posts & keep improving!
