This is obviously a super popular spot. This place is known for award winning clam chowder. I can’t recall if I have ever even had clam chowder but here oh my goodness. They serve it in a nice toasted bread bowl. Even though there was a huge line out the door the line ends up moving a lot faster than you would expect. Definitely will be eating here again. They had several other things in the menu also but the clam chowder is what they are known for!!
We are tourists and have heard about Splash Cafe and their famous clam chowder. Hot damn it was good!! The bread bowl was toasty and the chowder itself is so creamy! I got cheese, green onions and their unique carrot hot sauce for fixings. We came back to have a bowl two times during our short vacation. Must have!! Can't wait to come back next year for vacation to eat another bowl! ☺️
Stopped in for lunch at Splash Cafe today - more sizzle than steak, I think. I had clam chowder in a bread bowl, and while the chowder was really good, it was also very salty and lacking clams. My spouse had the Ahi tuna tacos. She was assured they are dairy and gluten free (without ranch dressing), but she’s been in the bathroom for 20 minutes since leaving the place… Staff seem young and not invested. Based on the hype, people seem to love this place, but I won’t bother returning.
The clam chowder is thick, unctuous, delicious, and perfect. Get it with seafood topping and a side of grilled sourdough- so good. Get it to go and walk down 25 ft. towards the beach where there are picnic tables on pier/boardwalk.
Clam chowder is amazing. Also had a fish taco that was good! An informal place but good food and service
Overall food was good. Lobster roll was sort of lacking but wasn't bad. Clam cowder was super creamy and delicious. Fish and chip and their slo boy were great.
The clam chowder bowl is simply awesome. Order at the counter and the friendly staff prepares your food quickly and brings it out to you if you're dinning-in the cafe, otherwise they hand it over to you to take away. While the service is really fast (they've been doing this for years) it can get VERY busy. This is particularly true in the summer and weekends. You'll get your food quickly once you order it but sometimes you'll have to wait in a very long line to get to the counter. The best time to visit is between obvious meal times and when it rains. The restaurant sitting is first come first serve. It's polite not to sit at (save) a table until you've ordered your food because seating can be limited by the number of visitors. And, it's best not to loiter too long after finishing your meal for the same reasons. Parking is always going to be challenging.
Good place to go eat at Pismo pier. Service: you order and then look a place to eat. If u r a large group can be difficult to find a table together. Food is good
One of our absolute favorites! We always visit when we are in the area. Great service and delicious food. The outdoor seating area has a beautiful view where we enjoy sitting with one of the amazing specialty cocktails. Miriam the manager goes abov
A few friends and I walked in for some late night tacos. Even though we walked in 10 minutes before closing, the workers were so kind and accommodating. I was astonished at the unique meat options I have never seen elsewhere! I always go for a classi
If you are a foodie, then you should certainly check out this place! Bobbie is great! I found out about this sandwich/bread shop and am so glad I did! It is one of those LOCAL treats that you may pass by if you did not look for it, I know I did until
Visited this location close to sunset on our way back to Pismo from the Hearst Castle. The grounds are very interesting and beautiful. The entire visit lasted about one hour and cost $20 for two adults, kids are free. I look forward to being able to
This little overlook provides an amazing view! It wasnât super busy, but itâs surprisingly chilly out so it may be that. Plenty of room for the kiddos to run around and play, just be careful of the construction areas!
We love staying here! Every room has an ocean view and when we stay on upper levels we love keeping the sliding door open so we can hear the ocean waves and feel the fresh air. Very cool town as well. We love to go into town for food and San Luis Obi
Beautiful little park on the cliffs overlooking Pismo beach. Toys/ playground was very busy when we were there. A nice path goes along the cliff with lots of places to sit and enjoy the views
Wonderful experience in December. Not overly crowded, weather was wonderful. I even found a wild honey bee hive in a tree along the road when we parked. Beach was beautiful as well. White sand beach.
Worth the wait. There is a small outdoor area to sit and eat but no indoor seating. Everything is basically "to-go". That being said it is sooooo good. One of tge places you will go again and again. Biscuits are delicious but the chorizo tacos are ou
