Spice Valley - Indian restaurant in Shelby Twp - 49087 Schoenherr Rd, USA

Stopped in here on a whim since I seen a new place opened nearby. And I was pleasantly surprised by how different and flavorful it was. Of course it’s got the same flavors you’re looking for in Indian cuisine but here it’s a little different but in a great way. If you like different flavors from different cuisines definitely give them a try. I got the buffet because it was a great price. And I got to try so many different flavors. Everything was good if not great. Side note: be patient with them as they seem to be very short staffed and newer to the area. Everything great takes time.

Very disappointing experience to say the least. We walked in an hour into their “all you can eat BUFFET” which still was open an hour and a half after us walking in. The buffet had only a few options and very little food left in each dish which the gentleman assured us they were bringing more out as we speak so we sat down and waited for the food to come out. They brought out only a single serving at a time of only a couple of the options they had in the buffet when we repeatedly asked for butter chicken. So we got full off of rice and bread waiting for the food. The single servings they brought out were Luke warm and no where near all you can eat for anyone not even an infant. So 40 minutes of us sitting there they brought out tandoori chicken that was raw. And the gentleman told us “we’re sorry we weren’t expecting anyone to come in today” which is probably the worst response a business man can say. Then 20 minutes later they brought out more tandoori chicken and apologized for it being raw… only to find out that our second serving of tandoori chicken was also raw and bloody after biting into it. Again we expressed our disappointment a second time as we asked for the bill and only 8 dollars was taken off and our concerns of the ingested raw chicken was pushed to the side as he tapped on the credit card machine for us to pay and get out. We will never go there again. 2 servings of the buffet tandoori chicken were both raw and undercooked.

Had chicken 65 , soup, Spice Valley special biriyani, Goat biriyani. Food was just OK at best. Chicken 65 was overcooked and came bathed in red food color . Same case with special biriyani. Lamb biriyani was okayish with overcooked rice. Naan was good. Did not eat the mixed grill because the chicken served smelled very bad and old. Service was good. Not recommended unless they improve the food quality.

Great food and service. We ordered lamb chops , lamb curry , several types of naan , chilli chicken and desert. Great selection of food and desserts.

This food is absolutely amazing. If you're looking for fast food don't come here. The food takes time because it's made fresh. We had several dishes and ate every bite. One of the owners came out to make sure we were happy. We own a small Colombian restaurant just 2 miles away with the same atmosphere.... just different food. We truly appreciate having "home cooked authentic Indian food" so close to home

Delicious Indian Food! Today I had Rice Pudding, Samosa (Two triangular pastries filled with vegetables or minced meat) and Lamb Tikka (Lamb marinated with mild spices and herbs. then cooked in a clay oven. YUM! Great food, great atmosphere with fast and friendly service!

To say we were happy with our meals would be an understatement. We go out of our way to try each Indian restaurant in Macomb and this is top tier. We ordered butter chicken and kurma chicken and we’re just blown away at the quality of the food received. Our waitress was very nice and quick to help us when we needed it. 10/10 we will be back again.

Spice Valley is right down the road from our house and we LOVE it! All of the options are amazing. The service is fast and efficient! My wife loves the Butter Chicken and I haven't gotten the same thing twice cause I want to try everything they have! Its quiet and comfortable too!
