Speedy's - American restaurant in Eden - 955 Washington St #6047, USA

This is the best version of your typical, hole in the wall diner. Decorated in vintage 50s with 50s pop playing, it definitely sparks nostalgia. Speedy's has daily specials like pot roast and meatloaf, but consistently keeps all the diner favorites on the menu. Locals' favorite is thr taco salad, but I'm partial to side winders. Keep in mind, this is a small establishment, who does a lot of take out too, and since they are cooking all your food fresh, you might have a short wait. It's worth it.

They have the BEST food, especially their taco salad that uses Jose's dressing. Hotdogs and buns are grilled with the best hush puppies in town.

Food and service is excellent

Very friendly staff, great food (best creamed potatoes in town), very well priced and proportioned. They stay busy and packed quite often,.. which only puts the proof in my words above and shows customer loyalty!!

Speedy's is an iconic Southern country food, family restaurant. The decor is 50's Elvis, Marilyn, etc. It's small and quaint. The food is good and prices are reasonable. Taco salad is the bomb. I always get BBQ chicken, Mac salad and turnip greens. Everything takes good with their iconic hush puppies!! Yum!!!

Edit: I tried to post a photo of the food but it would not upload for some reason. The food was good, BUT! The amount of food was not enough for the price I paid. It was almost 9 dollars for this small amount of Teriyaki chicken, rolls, this small amount of onion rings & hush puppies. I wish more chicken came with this. I'm not a very big person, and usually 9 dollars worth of food fills me up, this did not fill me up at all. That's my only complaint. This is the first thing I have ordered from here. I definitely won't get Teriyaki chicken again, unless they up portion size.

This place sets you back to Elvis's time with the decor and music. When I went in it was just two people running the place, with all sorts of restaurants and business raising prices at a steady rate this place has managed to keep their food prices extremely reasonable and delicious at the same time. Places like this need to be supported by everyone in the community or around it, great staff, great food, great prices. I will definitely be back and I would recommend stopping here every so often for a tasty burger!
