Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store and Donation Center - Thrift store in Third Lake - 34500 US-45 Unit L, USA

First time at Sparrow's Nest and I had such a fun experience. My adult son noticed a poster stating that there was a pink pig hidden in the store, and if you find it, you will receive a 10% discount. We weren't too concerned about the discount, but we had so much fun looking for it as we shopped. Such a beautiful thrift store with so many interesting items. Found a nice flower planter for next year's garden, a scarf and a necklace. He found a couple DVDS. Hope to return soon! And never did find the pig! Haha

I used to visit this place often and always loved discovering unique finds at great prices. Lately, though, it seems the prices have gone up quite a bit. Some used items are now priced almost like they're brand new. I see little to no value here for the consumer.

Wonderful shop and a worthy cause. Regional tech so that you know that the dollars you spend are supporting the cause they champion. I've donated and purchased many things here over the years and highly recommend it.

Very overpriced and just not worth it. Sparrow’s nest use to be a hidden gem when I was going to the Mundelein location. The third lake location has ridiculously high prices for a 2nd hand store. A lot of the items are regular retail prices or more. Also the staff is not friendly at all.

I've been in the third lake store a few times, and I've never had a bad experience. For being a thrift store you walk into a very clean and beautifully staged store! The staff/employees are always nice and helpful. Out of the 3 Sparrow's nest stores I've been in this one is by far the best, but I have no complaints with any of them. What a nice place to look for hidden treasures!

A great store with a great staff! They have a little bit of everything, you can always find something, items are always clean not a bunch of junk. Very reasonable prices. New items Stocked every week, 👍😁

Clean and organized. But there is no public restroom, you're busy shopping then discover you need to use restroom and the closest one is a half block away. There are people that are not able to quickly walk across the parking lot to Dunkin Donuts. I don't think it's acceptable to not have access to a restroom. Prices are what you could pay at TJ Maxx for new. I don't understand this when this is a thrift store?? I used to come here often to find deals and discounts. Unfortunately that's no longer the case.

The store is well organized and has nice items, the prices are kind of ridiculous, and the store itself is pretty decent. The employees, however, are very rude, impatient, not friendly, uncaring, and just not aware of other people and their feelings. The manager also has the same attitude as the workers. Everytime my family goes there we always get mistreated by the workers, unpleasant faces, and just overall not cared about. It seems like your workers and manager always give us a bad experience at the store. If you want to shop at a good thrift store, try another one.
