Just love the Marina. You can create great memories here. It's great for walks, family fun, pictures, pet friendly. Evenings time is beautiful.
Lovely walking path around the whole park, with storefront on one side including food and a coffee shop. The park itself is designed for kids of all abilities to enjoy and participate, very cool things for kids to enjoy. Many wheelchair accessible items for kids. Lots of seating for parents or an afternoon family lunch. Dog park is nice and has two areas for different sizes dogs. Would recommend seeing it
Great place to walk. Bathroom was very clean and warm. Lots of parking..really great !
Sparks Marina Park is a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains with a paved walking trail. I found it peaceful and enjoyed watching the ducks and swans in the water
While passing through this city, I saw a lake and decided to take a walk, a gorgeous place in the desert, a huge number of birds and ducks, a jogging path around the lake, a playground, I even wondered why I don’t live here)
The water part is called Helms lake, after Helms pit, a former gravel quarry. They pierced an aquafier, and it filled with water. They have to pump out 2 million gallons a day into the Truckee River to keep it from overflowing. It has clean water and lots of waterfowl and fish.It has a paved path all the way around, about 2 miles. The north side has wide sandy beaches with picnic areas, volleyball nets, concession stand, bathroom and playground. The east side borders Legends shopping center and lakeside condos. South side has lawns and trees, fishing docks, and a large dog park . Spring, winter and fall are great for hiking around it. Summer is hot for hiking, then the beaches and shady lawns are popular. Free parking lots on all but south side, which borders I80 and can be a bit noisy. Great recreational facility.
I would say this place is perfect but it's kind of overcrowded, and sometimes has a very weird smell.
Doesn't take away from the fact that it's beautiful though! It also has a great dog park where the doggos can swim, and a nice path!
Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular here as well!
A beautiful place to walk, jog, do some fishing, swim, or just relax. I would even dare to say do some sightseeing, because there is just a lot of beautiful and poetic homes and gardens, picturesque restaurants, coffee shops, bars and grills, and a lovely brand new playground for the children. There’s also a nearby outlet mall, movie theater, and a brand new casino.
Itâs really is a beautiful place. Itâs pretty far out here but let me tell you it is looking new.!!! come out check it out for yourself. Itâs very nice.
The trail is well defined and easy, it would be great for strollers and bikes. There is a slight elevation gain, which allows for a greater protective of the general area. There are lots of picnic tables and bench's to watch the Truckee flow. There s
It's a beautiful Park and not crowded at all. There's lots of shade yet also lots of sunny areas. You and your pets can have a picnic in the grass and then sun on a rock along the calm water. Also can't forget to have some ice cream from the ice crea
Cottonwood Park along the Truckee River bend is a beautiful place to enjoy fresh air and sunshine right within the Reno-Sparks area. To enjoy the sight and sound of Canada Geese, Mallards, Egrets, and Herons. And sometimes various other little critt
Visiting from out of town and the food was amazing. Authentic Mexican food and the atmosphere is so enjoyable. Everything we got was delicious and the service was quick and very friendly. Will be coming back!
Great old school Nevada bar. Rustic and warm. Cool place to have a drink. Food is only served on Fridays I think. We had a shrimp cocktail when we were there which was pretty good.
First time we came here for the sunflower festival and this is the second time for pumpkin patch. This place have a good activity all year round. Kids would enjoy it. I definitely will go back.
These salads and the soup are so delicious. Made fresh to order. So happy to have a fresh, healthy alternative to fast food. The price is cheaper than fast food and SO MUCH BETTER QUALITY!
I absolutely love this area. It's a great recreation area for singles, families and couples. The area is scenic and beautiful. Lots of gorgeous views and scenery. The wildlife is plentiful with the farms you pass to the deer and bears that reside in
I personally believe wholeheartedly that the donut bistro is the best place in the only place to get donuts in northern Nevada.
I don't know what they put into them, but they are hands down the only place to get donuts. I started getting my son. Thei
The place is immaculate, the staff is friendly, and the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Iâve been here on three occasions and itâs now part of my restaurant rotation. I highly recommend their tacos, burgers, and ceviche.
Excellent dinner and excellent service by Jocelyn and Allen. Please get better Cabernet Sauvignon selections by the glass! The wine choices were very disappointing (by the glass). But my martini was perfect (blue cheese olives!).
This is like Fry's electronic store that's all about sports and outdoors, but much much better and still relevant and fun today. The huge Ferris wheel inside is a must-try for friends and family, and one can easily spend hours upon hours going back a
