Sparklight - Internet service provider in Altus - 618 N Main St, USA

When the internet is up, it’s fast. If you intend to stream or game, be prepared for many many many cut-outs. I’ve had this service for a few months because it’s the only one available and whenever I try to game I get about 10 minutes of uninterrupted connection, and then 5 minutes of the internet being down.

I have had many internet companies over the years and i HAD to get this one when i moved to OK as the choice was them or ATT and at this point i rather have ATT. This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. At this point as a twitch stream they owe me money. There service is such garbage my messages take minutes to send or don't send at all. They told me its a main line and refuse to fix it. Do not get internet from this company!

Getting unlimited data and a hotspot on your phone would be faster and far more cost effective. I implore you to save yourself the money. Sparklight has a monopoly and it shows. Internet cuts out several times per day, slows at random increments, and their prices are beyond hiked for what you get. My friends in other cities pay nearly half the price and get a far better internet service provider. I’d say go to someone else but that isn’t an option since they’ve got a stranglehold on Altus so try to figure something else out. Interested to see if they reply to this with the same canned response they reply to all other one-star reviews with. They run this company that provides an important service to chronically underserved people in the laziest, most cost-effective balance sheet-worshipping way possible

So far, we have had the service about two weeks, it has dropped probably 7 times during the day, the worst so far was on Sunday when it went down for 5 to 10 minutes twice while we were trying to power through a series on Netflix. We're a military family who just relocated from another state where we had better, faster, CHEAPER and way more reliable service, OH and our data usage wasn't capped. If there were other options, I would definitely consider canceling. We were told by other families that the service was not great but here we are.... Hey sparklight, invest in some dang infrastructure. This location is remote as is, give us SOMETHING for our buck... paying more for less and sub-par stability is infuriating, especially in this day and age.. Good luck potential customers!! Okay, I sent an email to the link you provided, Ive been here about 3 weeks now and as I type this response, my service has dropped three times... Also several times this week when I got up at 0600 my service had dropped and was slowly coming back up. again... I'm not impressed....we'll see if anyone contacts us to try to improve the situation

The monthly cable/WiFi bill in this area is approximately $300, which is quite expensive. Unfortunately, Sparklight holds a monopoly in the market. Comparatively, my uncle's WiFi bill in Maryland is only $100. While I appreciate the convenience of using the Firestick, it's evident that Sparklight takes advantage of their monopoly status by engaging in price gouging.

Customer service is good, but the ISP is terrible. High price for slow speed and always goes down with no outage notifications. Should not be paying $100 for less than 1GB.

Have a paper due today, and the internet is out yet again. The funny thing is, I don't even get notifications about the outages; I have to go on Facebook and hope someone is experiencing the same issue. I wish there were other reliable internet providers out here, but there's nothing like Sparklight. If there is anything in the near future, give them a try before turning to this outdated company.

Horrible service, down almost every week, down at least half of holiday weekends. Extremely pricey. Cable usage goes up with nothing connected to get you into higher plans. Overall horrible company that know there is not alternatives.
