We have been with Sparklight/CableOne for almost 18 years now and the service has always been exceptional. Jacob came out today and worked extra hard to help me solve a networking issue (that was not a Sparklight issue). The techs are always friendly, helpful, and courteous. We are very fortunate to have this company & Jacob as a tech here in Kirksville, MO.
The service was working fine for a few months, but after that my speeds drastically reduced. It’s $115/mo for 1000Mbps, yet tests show around 300 Mbps. The service worker just blamed it on my modem and left. It’s not like we have any other choice, but definitely don’t pay for the higher speeds. Edit 8/15: my internet experience has only gone down as now I’m constantly dropping connection. Speeds haven’t gotten better. Sparklight called to say “they’re working on it” when this was posted, but NOTHING was resolved.
I haven't even been a customer for a month yet but the time that I have been with spark light has been mired with issues. My internet shuts off during the day and I work from home which creates chaos as I am hosting many webinars and such period I called customer service and before she could get me transferred to Tech Support, The system hung up on me. Not happy, and I've been told if I can't keep stable internet, working remotely may be revoked.
We had to buy a new modem and they told us that installing it would be easy and simple. We have gone a week now with no internet and the 24 hour service number keeps us on hold for about 2 hours daily before dropping the call. When we call the store it’s always customer service who answers and then they try to transfer us to IT but then we’re again on hold for 50 minutes to an hour and then the call drops. It seems that they simply do not care about us.
Brought my own router and equipment after many techs suggested this would improve my service. It never fails that my internet is out seemingly exactly when I need it. The automated tech troubleshooter is like speaking to a brick wall. To add insult to injury, there is no equivalent service provider in the area that offers similar speeds.
Visited briefly to return modem I had been renting for years. These things are incredibly easy to install. The people working there are very good at customer service. They have 24 hour tech support and best of all you get to talk to an actual person . If you don't have Cable internet and are thinking about getting it, I would recommend this place. They are offering deals for new customers. And do look into getting your own modem, only check the model with them before you buy. It's elementary, Watson 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Installer was excellent. Very professional and gave great advice on internet packages. Professional install. so far the service has been great, no issues with streaming/gaming and email alerts are very helpful for watching our usage. Wish I had switched sooner!
Had my bill paid on easy pay but then shut my cable off come find out it wasn't the bank fault it was sparklight for not putting in right expiration date on my card for two months besides that having to pay 178 dollars month for just cable !
Gyro is the best I have had anywhere. Wife had a chicken sandwich thing, she liked it. Both of us had fries. We also had the baklava. That was just okay. I come here every time I am in Kirksville.
Fun local spot in Kirksville. Friendly staff, nice environment. We tried the Island Fries - wonderful! Cold drinks of all kinds and a wonderful kids menu too.
The store was clean, brought, easy to navigate, and the staff was very friendly. I went in to get a photo and letter frame and they had it completed very quickly.
