Spark by Hilton Shepherdsville Louisville South - Hotel in Shepherdsville - 130 Spring Pointe Drive, USA

Good, perfectly adequate for one night passing through Kentucky. Arrived about 7 PM, I had selected my room previously on the app check in was easy, but my room smelled strongly of mildew and there was a dehumidifier running in that room. The desk quickly found me an alternative Accommodation which was fine. Your room was clean. I especially like the walk-in shower. The evening desk clerk was doing, triple duty, washing towels, checking people in and keeping the coffee bar stocked, a hard-working, pleasant person and an asset to the property. Breakfast was essentially bagels or yogurt or both, but there are numerous fast food places, nearby offering meat and potatoes.

We stayed there for four nights while attending a family event. We had never heard of the "Spark" Hilton brand before but we gave it a try, and we're glad we did! Room was very spacious, plenty of lights, outlets with USB ports, excellent WiFi even without paying for premium connection. Roll-in shower was very roomy, and oddly, we never got the floor soaking wet when using it. A few suggestions in that regard; consider a slightly longer shower head hose when it comes time to replace it; allow the shower head mount to be higher when needed for users who are not using the shower seat; and keep in mind that when using the shower seat one cannot reach the shampoo/soap dispensers mounted on the wall behind the seat. Breakfast was basic but fresh, all items kept refilled and stocked, coffee always ready. Staff at all levels was friendly and efficient, even if we were just passing them in the hall. Would definitely stay at a Spark again and hope this one was representative of the chain overall.

Our room was clean and spacious. However, we were surprised that there was no coffee maker or clock in the room. There was very little to eat for breakfast I understand that thus is a budget option from Hilton but it was lacking along. Lots of empty walls, no microwave, and not much else. It's perfect if all you need is a clean place to sleep but that's all it is.

I didn't really know about the Spark properties in the Hilton family until this stay. They are supposed to be a budget choice, although this one was about the same price as a Hampton. I liked the pared down look of the rooms. There were plenty of plugs for all your devices. The shower in the bathroom had a great design, allowing you to shower without getting water on the floors. The location is surrounded by shops and restaurants.||The negatives were that the bed linen had an odd odor. I never saw anyone at the front desk (I did self check-in). The hotel advertises free breakfast, but people should know that this breakfast is VERY limited. There was no hot food. I could not eat one thing they offered, which was quite disappointing. ||Because of the breakfast, I probably will choose another hotel when I'm in the area. However, I imagine that this hotel would please many.

This was our first time at a Spark by Hilton--we normally are a Hampton Inn family and in/out. Although Spark is very a basic hotel, Hampton Inn economy style, it was clean and comfortable. A big shout out to Karen who checked us in and assisted us throughout our 3 night stay in the Shepherdsville/Louisville visit. She provided recommendations on local distillery tours and distance/travel to local Fort Knox. I observed she was sometimes the only staff visible--and was multi-tasking effectively. Thank you Karen for your kindness and dedication to the guests.

This hotel is best for short stays. ||Pros: |Remodeled rooms are clean|All staff we interacted with were friendly |We did not experience any issues with loud guests or loud AC, fridge, etc||Cons: |Breakfast is VERY minimal |Hot water for shower was variable |No microwave in room||May consider a 1 night stay in the future, but will likely go elsewhere if staying multiple days in the hopes of comforts that make a longer stay more enjoyable. The cost savings per night did not make up for the cons.

This hotel was recently renovated, and I'm giving it 4 stars because the rooms aren't complete yet, lacking coffee machines and microwaves. Wifi was a bit difficult to connect to. However, the rooms were super clean, and the hotel manager was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. The hotel overall is great, with a lounge area and pool. The biggest downside is they only offer a bagel bar for breakfast, so many regular breakfast items are missing.

Rooms were very clean and up to date. Reasonable in price. Employees were mostly friendly. The pool was very nice. Breakfast was more of muffins etc. overall great experience. Would recommend.
