Spanish Trails Inn - Motel in Mesquite - 1129 Gross Rd, USA

Ask for a non-smoking room at check-in and told all rooms are non-smoking. When I entered the room, the cigarette smell was overwhelming. I had brought my own blankets and pillows because I didn’t want to sleep in the cover. The refrigerator in room doesn’t shut and was frozen up with a 6 in of ice, so no way to have food. AC was cold and water was hot, plus for that!! Our AC at home was being replaced and I needed a place that accepted my dogs. When we checked out and left all my belongings smelled horribly, that I had to leave them in my garage, bringing in one load to wash at a time. Even my glasses smelled. I travel for a living so I understand getting what you pay for, but I can’t ever go back due to the nasty smell. On the second day there, I brought my Clorox wipes, Clorox clean up, and swifter. In the end they should have paid me to stay there; I am sure the room hasn’t been that clean in a long time, but no matter how much you clean you can’t cover cigarette smoke infused curtains, ac unit, and mattresses. Again, we had cold ac and nice hot shower and my doggies were able to cool down, so we made it work. Lmbo my husband chose to stay at our house with no ac, he said he just couldn’t handle the smell. I don’t appreciate being placed in that room after specifically asking for non smoking. I’m also kinda pissed no one even mentioned coffee or breakfast snacks.

Called with a legitimate question. The lady hung up on me. I guess they "cater" to a level of clientele where they require zero hospitality skills. Congratulations, parasite, first class!

This place is horrible experience . The owner or whoever he is is very rude . Feel like I’m being accused of having unwanted people in my room and just cause I didn’t need housekeeping that I had two dogs . First night I got a call asking if I had anyone in my room that wasn’t on the list I felt harassed never felt like this any other room

The place had nasty employees that live on the property they were rude and the smoke of weed was bad somewhere we will not be returning

The worst motel my family and I have ever stay at and I am a traveling nurse. I was harassed by the the staff the whole time my family and I stayed at the property: Only to allow the resident next door to my room to smoke marijuana in the room but made up some rule about my daughter sitting in raggedy furniture in the breezeway because the room is so small and we only the family of three. The room was dirty we had to clean the room. The cleaning staff appear to be drug use it and will go inside the room that you rent to stay without your permission but will not clean the room. If you rent a room with this motel you will feel like you being micromanaged by the property owner and the staff.”1 star and not that!!! No oh yeah last be not least the room I stayed in have public toilet type of feel. My whole experience at the motel is a nightmare and I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND you not stay here.

They should honestly have a 0 star rating as an option. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL/MOTEL. Looks clean, but has ROACHES like crazy. Not worth the price they’re asking. And there’s soooo many people outside hanging out or cooking. Really just a trashy place to be. Non smoking rooms, but they smell like strong cigarettes smoke. Oh and don’t reply back trying to fry smart because I return energy!

I was told it was a non smoking room. But it smelled like cigarettes. I had to use my perfume to try and make it a little better. Tried calling desk. No answer. Then went to office woman acted like she couldn't hear me or care. Never be back here.
