Southside Park - Park in Sauk Rapids - 117 River Ave S, USA

A great little park on the Mississippi River in Sartell. Paved trails for walking and biking. A canoe and kayak access with some rock fishing piers jutting about 20 feet into the current (when there is no drought 😔). Plus the old bridge buttress with the trail along the shore is awesome. It could use more parking, but then again it is a small park.

Thursday night music in the park is awesome ! The sponsors pick great bands and you have view of the Mississippi, great food and beverages. Other days or nights it’s a great walk, scenic, nice playground.

The remodeling of Southside Park is fantastic! I've found my new go to park to walk in the summertime!

Nice view of Mississippi River. There have fence with padlocks, it cool. There plenty of trail for you to walking, biking, jogging, running etc.

A great sledding hill for younger ages. It also has a bike path along with a covered wagon theme playground for younger and older children. The playground area resides next to the Mississippi River. There is tree coverage closer to the river and limited coverage by the playground. The train tracks are separated from the park by a road. If you are considering a musical event, it can be a bit rumbly which would detract from a live music performance. If you are looking for a place to have a lovely picnic, easy access to playground or places to hang out for a few minutes, the Southside Park would be a great choice. Features: Slides, swings, symbol hunt game, bridges, tunnels plus picnic tables and benches.

The new equipment and amenities are top notch. Fantastic job on the city to give back to the community. Kudos 👏

Beautiful place to look over the river. Clean, with accessible restrooms in good condition. The playground area is nice.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. I took a walk there yesterday with my dog. We had very easy access to the river banks (river is low so we were able to go out and walk to the edges of it) The scenery is peaceful and vast. Clean walkways. Felt very safe. Bathrooms available. Paved trail. Benches to stop and sit and enjoy the view. Plenty of parking. Families and people of all ages were there. There are picnic tables, grills and places to spend the day having a family gathering. It is one of my MOST favorite places in my city now. Well done. Thank you!!
