This peaceful little town of Southport not only provides this quaint little sitting park on the waterfront, but also less than 10 minutes awaits the beach. The best of both worlds! Come and relax on the beautiful swings to watch the ferry and cargo ships go by. There is much tranquility to enjoy along with the breathtaking, beautiful scenic views. 🌟
Lots of history here. Parking is very limited. Lovely view of the river and large ships coming through. There are several historical monuments on the site. There are swings and park benches available. You can see the oak Island lighthouse from here.

Beautiful place to walk. Nice pier to fish or just take in the views. They also have events here such as a large July 4th celebration where they recite the entire Declaration of Independence and even let you sign it afterwards!
It is such a beautiful town, and my son had a great time fishing off of the pier!
We were down in Southport for the day to grab lunch and ended up walking through this area. It is a nice, clean, and cool place to find when you are not expecting it. We loved that there was a car show in progress near the water and we were able to enjoy walking around taking in the variety of cars while listening to live music!

Wonderful bakery in Southport, NC. The donuts are amazing, but the Glazed croissants will knock your socks off! Highly recommended. They are closed on Sundays.
