Southgate Cinemas - Movie theater in Grants Pass - 1625 Ringuette St, USA

It's been awhile since we went to the movies here at Southgate in Grants Pass watching Mario Brothers Sunday matinee was awesome, We bought our tickets popcorn soda candies etc at the counter minimal wait time and then had help from the manager carrying all our goods and finding a beautiful seat for our family of four. Plenty of parking bathrooms You can even host your birthday party here 🎉 We found out they have $5 matinee on Tuesday with all the wonderful movies coming up we will definitely be back for more family fun ❣️

It’s an old theater without modern amenities, but I’ve had mostly good experiences. Since you do not select your seat when you purchase your ticket you can simply avoid the broken/gross chairs and find another. I have been there countless time and had very few issues with impolite staff. They are typically a bright and inviting group. Decent theater.

They raised the volume back up so movies are more enjoyable and the lights are dark enough now that they don't distract from the movie. Going back to the movies was fun again

I was 5 minutes early and they waited on me anyway, after they finished opening and turning on lights. Staff are always engaging, wonderful people

Friendly staff. This place has that hometown theater warmth, and when you ask for buttered popcorn, they butter it. They have my vote!

The only place to see movies for miles and miles, thank goodness it’s always clean, offers member points, has $5 Tuesdays and is always clean. The staff is helpful and offers a pretty good customer service experience. They are also very accommodating and friendly which is wonderful since they offer their services as a venue for any special event you may wish to host involving a movie. They have a party room and an arcade - the only working arcade that I’m aware of in Grants Pass. I enjoy seeing movies here. I wish it has the posh recliner seats but I don’t think that those are needed and might even ruin the experience here.

Not sure what's going on here. Apparently there are some supervisory issues. In theater 4 there was a bag of garbage on one of the seats. There were armrest pads missing. The entire length of the upper seat floor was covered in something sticky. The movie didn't start and I had to go find someone to fix it. The sound went out 6 times during the movie. This was the first showing of the day in that theater so the problem wasn't that they didn't have time to clean it between shows. Wow!

It's fine to go to. It's an a-typical theatre. Okay size. Normal high pricing. Could be cleaner. Attitude of staff has improved tremendously in last two years...that is commendable and appreciated. I vote with my dollars.*update 11/2023. It would be a LOT nicer and more enjoyable if the seats, floors and carpets were tepaired and steam-cleaned.
