Southern Table Boom Boom Bar - Restaurant in Brunswick - 1423 Newcastle St, USA

Wife amd i have been looking forward to dine at the Southern Table and really wanted it to be better. Great vibe, decor, and atmosphere. The bar scene looks fun and energetic. But the service was poor as we waited for drinks and food all night. Although the ceviche appetizer was good the food went downhill and the main courses were mediocre at best. I got the fried chicken that was over cooked and dry. My wife got the pork chop that was the toughest piece of meat we can remember. The cheesecake desert was too little too late. Sadly, we will not return.

Everything was fantastic! A solo singer entertained us with lovely songs. Great customer service. The food was delicious. My only feedback would be that the peach cobbler was cold. The dish was warm like they tried warming it up. But it didn't suffice. Tasted great but would have been so much better served warm.

This was our third trip into Brunswick. Each visit we find a little bit better, different place. This has been the best so far! A phenomenal vibe within this restaurant! This was upscale & cool, but not pretentious. Excellent drinks! I had the Silver Bluff IPA and my wife had Jameson and Ginger (they had a full bar). For dinner, we had a peach salad, chicken pot pie, and I had the shrimp and grits which was excellent! The way they prepared the grits was the best I’ve had in a long time. The service in the restaurant (thank you Tammy‘s daughter!) was just the best. As guests/visitors to Brunswick, they made us feel very inclusive the local crowd. Definitely recommend this to anyone traveling into Brunswick for dinner.

Celebrated our anniversary and had one of the best meals ever! Buffalo meatloaf, southrn fried chicken, sweet potatoes and boiled peanut hummus to start with.

Really good local restaurant in downtown Brunswick. Unique takes on southern favorites. Friendly bar attracts a local audience. Excellent mixologist. Probably would be a good date night location.

My wife and I, had our daughters wedding reception here at the Southern Table. I cannot express enough how wonderful this experience was. The food was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was elegant. Jay and his staff could not be more accommodating. Our daughter and our new son-in-law, along with family and friends all had a great day. Thank y'all for making our day special..!!

My wife and I spent a weekend at a BnB in the Brunswick area. For dinner we came upon the Southern Table. The food was so good we came back the following night for the same dish. The best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Compliments to the chef for his unique twist on this classic. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend

5 stars for the server, she was the only one and working the whole restaurant and did a great job. We are still talking about how poor the food is here. Bacon wrapped scallops were over cooked something fierce. Akin to rubber. Crab cakes were ok. Not much of a slaw with it. Ceviche was was like a soup?, And the pita was seconds from burnt. BBQ plate..meh..chicken was over cooked and bland, pork was over sauced mush. collards were good and mac and cheese wasn’t bad Just an overall poor food. Bland, poorly executed. Do not want to try again ever. Seems the locals just come and drink here.
