Wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge. We went for dinner and it was so good we came back for lunch the next day! If you like fried chicken, theirs is a MUST TRY. I had the 4 fried chicken leg dinner and OMG it was the best fried chicken I’ve maybe ever had. The service was great. The inside was beautifully decorated for Christmas. My boyfriend really enjoyed his pimento cheeseburger also. They give you a complimentary biscuit with apple butter & I’m usually not a fan of apple butter but it was to die for! If you’re in the area, check this place out. There may be a wait to get a table, but it’s worth it.
YUM! Everything we had was delicious! Very cute restaurant, friendly staff and amazing food! Their biscuits are the best! Mozzarella bites are huge and SO good. The collard greens cheese dip with pita, couldn't get enough! The pita was unbelievable! Great fried green tomatoes, burgers and smothered chicken... if you get the chance, go!
It started off with Carrie outside taking your name. What a wonderful young lady who genuinely likes people! We were seated and and a very attentive waitress named Katie. The place was just gorgeous! We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Yum! My son had the country fried steak, smashed red potatoes and salad. I had the butternut sweet potato soup, hash brown casserole and fried okra. The portions were a regular size; not over the top. We had raspberry chocolate lava cake and the no sugar added lemon meringue pie. I could have done without the crumb crust, but everything that was so tasty. I will definitely vine back! The apple butter and biscuits were out of this world!
We went the week after Christmas and there was maybe a 40 minute wait but the food was well worth it. We had tenders, fried chicken, and chicken fried steak with cheese sticks, friend mushroom buttons, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, fries, fried okra, and collard greens. All the food was excellent
THE most delicious biscuits I have EVER had anywhere! They were soft, flaky, buttery, and just a little salty. Drool worthy! The warm apple butter was delicious. The peach cobbler you can keep! Not impressed. The rainbow trout was very good. My son had the children's chicken nuggets, and they were great. Very long wait to get in, but the scenery and people watching made it go by fast.
Genuine southern food with great flavor. The fried green tomato shrimp po boy has a good balance of fry and freshness, but the real star is the cheese grits. I’ve never had grits with such a buttery, cheesy taste with a texture of grits and consistency of mashed potatoes. I can’t recommend them enough. By far the best grits I’ve had from a restaurant.
We visited on October 7, 2023 about 1pm. We were visiting from out of town and wanted something good to eat. The outside aroma from the restaurant was smelling good. We were told it would be about an hour wait. We were seated about 1:30. They have a nice front porch with comfortable seating while you wait. The host was very friendly and courteous. Our waitress was new on the job but she did well. They serve hot biscuits and apple butter once you are seated. It was 4 in our party. I ordered fried chicken, fried okra, pinto beans with a side of slaw. The other party ordered fried chicken, fried okra, collards, chicken pot pie and hash brown casserole. There wasn’t any major complaints. The chicken was fried golden brown but lack seasoning. The pinto beans and fried okra was good. The slaw wasn’t to my liking because I don’t like chunky slaw. Overall everything was good and I would return. I would recommend.
We visited Blue Ridge midday, and decided to check out Southern Charm Restaurant for lunch. We are very glad we did! We loved the decor and the southern style building. Made us feel like we were walking into an old bed & breakfast. There was a wait time when we got there, but for my party of 2, it was less than 10 minutes. The server's name was Whitney, and she was great. She offered us a couple of recommendations right of the bat. My wife chose one of them; the meatloaf. What a huge portion! And it had a great taste, too. I chose the hamburger steak, which is a nice choice. The brown gravy was good. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were homemade. The best parts of the meal were the biscuits (light and fluffy) and the apple cinnamon cheesecake. Make sure your visit ends with the cheesecake! A very good visit overall! Highly recommended.

Great spot to launch kayaks and explore shoreline. We had trouble because it was a very windy day so we chose to stay close to side close to put-in and sheltered from wind. Pretty fall colors were showing and the water levels were lowered than norma
