As a seasoned margarita-drinker and salsa-eater, I can say SOS is top notch. The salsa is so fresh every time and the chips are perfectly flakey without breaking into a million pieces.I can’t say enough about my love for SOS- I visit at least twice a month. Best happy hour in the area. $4 margs, $3 queso, $2 babacoa foldies (fire). We’ve also had some awesome servers over the years. A good place to be a regular!
Went later (8pm) on a Tuesday or Wednesday and there weren't a ton of people, but the whole block seemed slow that night. Service was spectacular! Joe (I think 🤔) took amazing care of us. Ask about their other salsas, I'm fairly certain the one that comes with the chips is their mild, it's great, but I like a bit more heat. They have a green one and a super delicious red smoky one that are much hotter and better IMHO. The pastor is fire (marinated pork, there are no preachers here). The queso is legit and the price point is better than alright. This one checks ALL the boxes for me we will definitely be back.
I ordered Barbocoa & steak taco. The meat was tender on them. But meat was void of spice. Bland tasting. It was hard to get a waitress since it was somewhat busy. One lady was doing a lot of work by herself. Restaurant is cozy.
4.25 stars if Google would allow it.
We frequently eat out and for the first time we ventured to South of Summit in Waldo for brunch. I believe they are owned by the estate team that owns Summit Grill.
The serves do a great job offering drinks early. Chips are obviously home made as thick as they are. The real shine comes from the many different salsa options that are provided to the table.
Brunch was fantastic. I sadly missed out on the Mexican hamburger, but treat myself the hash. My wife had the verde taco and my daughter had a life sized barbocoa burrito. The tacos might have been the best I have had in Kansas City. My hash was decent, but lacked crunch because the chips were a little soggy. Then there was the burrito. Holly smokes that was a game changer!
We will absolutely visit again and try their main menu. South of Summit is worth the trip to Waldo for sure.
First time in, came for happy hour, but stayed later for dessert. Drinks were good, staff friendly, the tacos were great! The prickly pear margarita is my new favorite..
Dined at South of Summit for the first time over the weekend and I cannot say enough how cute this place is! The decor is absolutely on point and invites you in as soon as you step through the door. We were greeted with the smell of freshly made churros so that really was enticing. From the seemless color palettes to the velvet chairs, and hidden trinkets on the walls you'll feel like you're in the Southwest during your time here. My partner and I enjoyed a couple types of tequila shots and house margaritas to go with our chips, salsa, and queso to start. The margaritas are fresh to order and made with that special authentic taste! We liked the salsa as well. The chips and queso while fresh aren't anything super special but it helped settle our hunger for sure while waiting for our main course.
The menu has a decent variety and I liked the unique taco options like the cheese curd taco. My partner and I tried the cheese curd taco, the boca beef taco, shrimp taco, and fish taco. The only critique I have is all of the tacos have relatively the same toppings so there isn't much of a difference in flavor profiles aside from the protein choice. While they were flavorful I would suggest switching up the toppings between each so they stand out a bit more! Overall we enjoyed everything we had and could not stop talking about the vibe and decor. Our server was also absolutely fantastic and very friendly so I appreciate the tentativeness! We will certainly be back for happy hour specials again.
I’ll just say I’m currently here on 11/5/23 currently waiting to pick up a DoorDash order and all I’m going to say is that I’m watching the cook prepare meals and orders with no gloves on. I watched him with my own eyes sprinkling cheese onto of a cold dish with no gloves on. Was waiting for about 15 minutes on my pickup and watched him send out probably 5 orders at least. Would not suggest anyone eats here. I was prepared to comeback for their happy hour and try the tacos but changed my mind very fast.
Yummy churros with choc dipping sauce (dont judge my dinner!), coconut hibiscus 🌺 & strawberry 🍓 margaritas, belly filling chips & salsa 💃🏽 & Al pastor tacos. Cute ambiance, fast & attentive waiter. Plenty of room for COVID spacing!

So freaking delicious! Service was a little slow but very appropriately so. All was made fresh to order and service was very friendly. We were traveling through town and so glad we were able to get off the beaten path to find this family run restaura
Robust delicious menu, friendly staff, great indie vibe that goes beyond a typical burger joint. I enjoyed a solid classic burger, perfectly cooked tater tots, a cozy bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, an indulgent chocolate chip cookie, and a just-right

Awesome food!
Plenty of ways to customize your order and it can be health.
I got a 3 scoop seafood bowl with sushi rice and my wife got a 2 scoop with the chicken (she said was just okay) and seafood.
Both orders were delicious!
I've popped in here once or twice a year since it came to be. Most of the 'customers' tend to be take-away orders but it's quite a nice little courtyard.
Without embellishment: They really do take pride in what they serve you.

First of all we love the name! Two Sugars in Kansas City is such a cute name and coffee shop. We loved our latte and conversation with the owner. Iâll definitely be back to try their matcha!
I've dropped into the 11:30am class several times. Fantastic community, coaching, and workouts. Clean showers and bathrooms. Ample equipment and parking. Everyone I met was welcoming and interactive. The community has been together for many years and
I donât know how I would have made it through my pregnancy without the classes at Full Circle Yoga KC. My older sister also went to Jenny Hellman for two of her pregnancies and when I told her I was having trouble finding good and affordable prenat
