Nice small parking area with tables for picnicking and a restroom. Access across the street to All Purpose trail. Also can't connect with the bridal trails which will take you down to Rocky River Nature Center.
Expansive w/ many picnic tables throughout. There are playgrounds for kids and the young at heart. This place borders the river and there are benches located next to the water, so that you can relax and enjoy the view. If you need a venue for a large event, there is a huge pavilion available to reserve. It is close to 480, making it a convenient location. Well kept and loaded with 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
Have to arrive before 6:30am to secure the non-reservable shelters. Plenty of space, swings, & nice playground area. Wish the fountains still worked (seems like a wasted space having an empty water feature. I remember playing in the fountains located throughout the metroparks as a child and I think kids would still enjoy that which is why I gave a 4-star rating.)
Hiking on the Emerald Necklace Trail heading south to the Rocky River Nature Center and back. 7.2 miles in 3 hours stopping every now and then to take in the view.
The trees were beautiful. A little short on parking.
