South Main Sushi - Sushi restaurant in Memphis - 520 S Main St #4443, USA

Had high hopes for this place but unfortunately was disappointed! The service was very slow, and it took a few minutes for anyone to see us at the door and get us seated. The raw fish here isn’t very good quality, so any sushi we ordered with raw fish was pretty mediocre. However, the pikachu roll with eel was pretty good! Hopefully will be better in the future.

Great atmosphere! We arrived around 7 on a Friday night and it was not too busy. Service was perfect! Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. This was our first time trying this place, and will come back if we are in the area again. Sushi was really good!

Great sushi! Highly recommend the hurricane roll which is tempura fried and the stone roll which has salmon in it. The spicy garlic butter edamame was so good! I saved the sauce from it to dip my sushi in! Check this place out if you’re down on south main.

We purchased three different rolls and they reminded us of what we'd buy at Kroger or a lesser quality version of that, unfortunately. The pork dumplings and fried cheesecake were outstanding; as was the service. We had an extremely polite and friendly waitress.

I love love love the food here it’s amazing! If Gordon Ramsey himself ate here he would love it! Kind & friendly atmosphere, I had a pickup order I ordered over the phone and it was ready right on time! The staff is very friendly and I highly recommend! BEST HIBACHI IN MEMPHIS

I got takeout on a weeknight during Covid-19 times. They were very accommodating and helped me make an order. Side salad with ginger dressing and miso soup were very good. Sushi was very good as well, raw seemed very fresh and eel was very tasty. I’ll be back!

Service was good but appetizers a tad bit small but enjoyable. Only had a cocktail and appetizer so I can't say anything about the entrees.

Service was outstanding, but the food was slow to come out. We arrived fairly early- around 6 pm- so it wasn't very busy. Everything was tasty and worth the wait.
