South Lido Key Beach Park on the Gulf - Beach in Sarasota - Benjamin Franklin Dr, USA

Simple little park on the beach with a well laid out equipment for smaller kids to run freely. Good beach for shelling, and walking to see both nature and view the city from across the water. Not the best for swimming as the water is deeper here, but around the island is some great swimming spots. Very clean restroom. Nice place overall.

Great beach and little park. Lots of free parking available. Public restrooms and showers are in the middle of the park. This spot also has many public barbecues with picknick tables, if you bring your own gear you can have a great time here. The beach is close to the tree line, giving you lots of shade spots for those who want it.

This place is one of my favorite places to visit at least one day of the week, and it's perfect for sunsets ! The park is big and has clean bathrooms . Picnic areas. Beautiful beach. The sand is white, and the water is so calm. I saw people doing Yoga, biking or dancing every time I go. The night looks amazing there when it's full of stars

This is an amazing beach. Must come and visit. Water is beautiful, the beach is beautiful and if you like to collect shells that is the place to go.

Visited November of 2021. Was traveling thru Sarasota en-route to Ana Maria Island and decided to take a quick detour to South Lido beach. Overall quiet, laid back environment with great views of a straightway ocean passage of the Gulf of Mexico. The restrooms were fairly quick to find and to my surprise, super clean. Highly recommend to visit park. Just make sure to bring yourself and an empty drive to take plenty of photos : )

I live in Miami, so we are a little bit beach-snobby. This place doesn’t disappoint. We were here in Sarasota for the week so my daughter could attend a pre-college program. Next time, we’re coming back here to vacation. It’s really beautiful.

Pretty perfect Florida westcoast beach to find unique shells, throw a football, take a walk, lay on the cool sand, bring your kids, watch a breathtaking sunset, eat a Publix Sub, and just enjoy what the area is known for. Parking can be a little tricky, but at least it's free and there is a large public restroom as well as places to BBQ in the shaded park areas. There is a little bit of a walk to get to the beach area, but the sand is very compact and easy to walk on. The water is beautiful here and it's not as crowded as some other beaches in the area, so it's worth the trip to the south end of the key. No dogs are allowed here unfortunately.

Absolutely Beautiful Beach! It was a perfect day and time on a holiday. I could go to this beach all the time if we lived closer... The beaches are slowly reopening in Fort Myers and Sanibel.
