South Hills Motel - Motel in West Mifflin - 701 Clairton Blvd, USA

Much like many others have commented, you can easily tell has been around for many years. That being said, even without seeing the owner walking around cleaning you can tell how much care goes into maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. The bathrooms have been recently been updated and it looks like plans to update the rest of the room are being made. The parking layout meant regardless of where you parked, your car was always close; you also couldn't hear a majority of traffic which was very nice. The motel is very conveniently walking distance to many shops.

My company was doing some work at the local fitness club nearby, and i needed rooms for my crew. Thos olace was really close, but the reviews were not so great, so indecided to stop in and see a room personally before i booked. I am very greatfull i gave them a chance!!! While this is not a luxury motel, it is VERY CLEAN!!! i booked 4 rooms for o er a week, and we NEVER SAW A SINGLE BUG!!! Some rooms had nicer furnishings than others, but every bed was comfortable and the water was hot!! ( thats very important to me) It is owned and managed by a very friendly husband and wife who take pride in their business and make every attempt to accommodate their guests. If you are in the area and looking for an affordable SAFE place to stay, please give them your business and put your money in a family business as opposed to a corporation.

This is a reasonably-priced motel in Pleasant Hills. While it is older and may not offer the same amenities that some of the other local motels offer, I have been satisfied staying there when the weather has been inclement. It is within walking distance of the Southland Shopping Center.

Location was convenient. I stay in hotels/motels frequently and normally a booking is good for (2) guests however the owner tried charging me extra per day for the second person who was actually my significant other. Unbelievable and then they were constantly wanting to clean the room. We found out on day 2 the reason why.. they have cockroaches. I even made video documentation on this- the owner had the audacity to say that maybe I brought them there.. excuse me?! I will never recommend or stay there again. County Health Department notified and proof sent to them.

It's so expensive to stay in Pittsburgh & I was a little hesitant to book this place, but it worked out far better than expected. One word: CLEAN. All relatively new fixtures & appliances. You know when you stay at a budget hotel, you touch the bedspread & you get that dirty feeling on your hands? Not here. Outside, completely safe and well maintained. New asphalt & lines. I expected a 75 yr old motel with bugs and filth, but for what it is this place was literally as good as you could get. There are no frills like breakfast & there's one soda machine, but it isn't the kind of place you go for luxury. Nevertheless it's a great value that's a short drive into the city.

The rooms were decent size. And it was nice to see a Motel step it up by cleaning the rooms everyday and bringing fresh towels I travel for work and this is hard to find nowadays. I would recommend this place.

Great stay. Room prices were really affordable. The staff was very friendly. It is conveniently located for shopping and dining. The rooms were extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again.

South Hills is a no-frills quaint budget motel that is safe, clean and affordable. Dedicated motel managers live on site and definitely keep the rooms and parking lot clean on a daily basis. I stayed multiple days and never felt unsafe. There's a full bath with adequate towels, but you'll need to bring your own shampoo & blow dryer. Microwave and fridge are also in-room, and you can walk across the street to 7-11 for coffee or other drinks/snacks. On a bus line, with a grocery store, smoothie shop and a Dollar General within a short walk.
