This is one of many trips we have made to South Haven beaches. I am amazed at the power of Lake Michigan and its endless beauty! South Haven is a favorite destination for us - swimming, boating, surfing, beach swings and for the kids, sunning, and incredible sunsets. The town has shopping, great stores for all kinds of treasures, fantastic restaurants... It's in South Haven!
Beautiful sunsets! Bathrooms are pretty gross. Kind of expected at a beach bathroom. Worth a stroll on the pier. The beach is usually pretty crowded though. Might want to go somewhere else for a beach day. The beach itself is well maintained though.
Not a big fan of the town. Got harassed and lots of stares while I was in town, but absolutely loved sitting at the lighthouse each day of my trip! Beautiful at night. Made the trip worth it.
Spectacular place to visit, especially in the winter with the ice buildup on the pier and lighthouse.
Parking prices nearby area ridiculous but the lighthouse and breakwater are awesome. Love the breeze she the boats going in and out. I could sit all day.
This is a really nice spot in South Haven, close to the beach and bustling with people and energy. The walk to the lighthouse can be a little wet and muddy, but it's worth it to feel the breeze and take in the whole atmosphere. You cannot enter the lighthouse, but you can walk around it, take photos, etc.
South Haven is a great vacation spot. The downtown has fun shops to browse through. Perfect for a beach vacation. The beaches are pretty and have a pier to walk down. There are a ton of vacation homes/rentals along the beach or within walking distance to the beach. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan! Even on an overcast day, Lake Michigan does not disappoint.
