Soul Food Shack - Soul food restaurant in Gardena - 1762 W El Segundo Blvd, USA

The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The place was very clean. I was a little disappointed that a soul food restaurant did not have cornbread dressing. But, I tried the catfish, fried pork chops, greens, and macaroni and cheese. Everything was 😋 delicious!

Not a lot of seating, friendly service, and they're good at providing what is needed for takeout. I had to try the velvet chicken and waffles and my girl chose the fruity pebbles French toast. Both were absolutely amazing in flavor, not as sweet as you'd think those would be. The portion sizes are huge and the food is served fresh and at a good temperature. We're coming back to try the rest of the menu.

My wife and I tried this restaurant while visiting LA from Miami The reviews were spot on. It is more of a takeout restaurant with a few tables. The staff was friendly and professional. Tables and general area was clean. My expectations of the food were exceeded. I am notoriously known for being overly critical about restaurant food. However, the Shack was on point. Everything was fresh, warm, presented well and not overly salted. The breakfast was priced right and plentiful.

BOMB AF!! They know what they are doing here. My family and I got the following Cinnabon French toast with eggs potatoes chicken sausage patty: 5/5 2 Mr Whites with 3 piece wing, eggs, potatoes and waffle 5/5 Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the servings were immaculate. We had a whole tray of food to take home. Wait was about 25 minutes after ordering around 11am on a Saturday! There is not much seating and they give you everything in to go boxes but you can grab a table and eat there. Most people just took their food to go. Good music playing as well! Honestly some of the best food I’ve had in a while!!!!

They had me standing at the counter while the employees were in the back. One guy putting the orders together and no one ever asked me was I ready to order. So I left. And went to the location in Inglewood, and loved their food. And the location on market Street and great customer service. I will not go back to the Gardena location.

Good customer service from the petite, light skin young lady at the register & from the tall man with the braids who I believe is the cook, he made this food with love! I will definitely go back & recommend. They also have reasonable pricing. I can’t find not one bad thing to say..

Food tastes like nothing. I tried to eat it. Mac is nasty. Cabbage was cool. Fish and chicken is not good. Waste of my money. EVERYTHING NEEDS SEASONING/FLAVOR. Not me or anyone with me liked the food👎🏾👎🏾Ready to call and reverse the charge pure trash now I have to spend more money to go get more food.
