Soul 2 Soul - Soul food restaurant in Galveston - 5316 Broadway Avenue J, USA

Food was very good. I just wish I could have received my cornbread on new years eve with my two orders. The restaurant was out of cornbread due to a limited menu designated for catering orders only. Such a bummer since cornbread typically compliments soul food dishes. However, the fried fish, cabbage, corn and potato salad is very good. Service was great as well. I still highly recommend to anyone craving quality food.

Visiting Galveston for the week and looking for some good home cooking, we found Soul 2 Soul! OMG - do not sleep on this place! Everything was so delicious, so much so that after I ate, I ordered more food to go. The cabbage, y'all. Glad I got to try it before it ran out for the day. 🤤 The owner was super friendly and came to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything. I wish I wasn't almost 4 hours away - Soul 2 Soul would be a weekly stop for me if I lived nearby.

I happened to visit Galveston today and happened into Soul 2 Soul cafe. First, the owner was my cashier. She was friendly and fantastic! Second, I asked her how good her fried ribs were. She was offended and told me that they were her daddy's recipe. I ordered them and the fried okra. Oh my they were good. They were the most outstanding ribs I've ever had. I wish I could go back and get more of them. She came by the table and asked me how they were and we're back to being friends now. :) Well worth the visit to Galveston, TX - Soul 2 Soul Cafe since 2014.

This food was amazing. Everyone who worked there was fun and friendly. I’m normally not a fan of black eyed peas but hers were amazing along with the cabbage. We tried the catfish, meatloaf, chicken and shrimp and everything was perfect. I highly recommend stopping in. Also listen to her when she says you have to eat that pound cake right there.

My husband, little sister and I came at 11:05, excited to try some soul food during our weekend in Galveston. Serve your own drink, paper plates… I knew this was gonna be GREAT. Now… we ate this meal in SILENCE! Wow….We didn’t realize it was an All You Can Eat Brunch on Sunday but I’m so glad it was. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly workers who are EXTREMELY kind. Love the LOVE here…. Gonna come back EVERY TIME we in Galveston. Let the pic speak for itself 💪🏽

Everyone definitely recommend trying the banana pudding and wills famous pound cake. Flavor was amazing and definitely will be getting it again!!

The food is awesome. The staff and owners are awesome people as well. Good quality plate. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped here with my family of five on our vacation and we were amazingly surprised. My eldest son is a "food connoisseur" and loves to try foods from all over the world. We can't wait to go back and eat here.
