Incredible location and very kind front desk staff. Support leading up to the stay was amazing and added on-site parking was extremely convenient and worth the daily cost for peace of mind. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The attached restaurant, The Institute, was delicious. My wife and I ate there most of our meals during our stay in the city.
The apartment was beautiful! It was impeccably clean with new or nearly new appliances and furniture. What we liked of all were the stunning views of the Philadelphia skyline and the Ben Franklin Bridge. The building itself was a very hip and cool former factory. We paid a little extra for parking on premises in a secure garage under the building and it was well worth it. Overall, the apartment was very reasonably priced compared to what it would cost to stay in comparable accommodations at a hotel or even an airbnb. I was with my wife and 11 year old daughter. I am originally from Philadelphia but have lived in the Virgin Islands for the past 12 years. We were extremely satisfied with Sosuite and we would definitely stay here again when in Philadelphia.
The biggest draw is that the windows and view are gorgeous. Alas, there is little soundproofing between units and could hear every word from my neighbor, who had friends over against the rental policy. They were going strong even past 5am and my sleep was extremely scarce. When I brought this up with management they were nothing but dismissive, and offered me 20 dollars as a refund for my heavily marked up 500 dollar room. Their replies were the embodiment of ‘sorry you feel that way.’
The coffee and tea available in the room was *deeply* old and nasty, there was an alarming amount of hair and dust in my bed which made me think the sheets weren’t fresh. That thought was confirmed when I saw little red flecks on one of the pillows.
I had a late check-in and the process of how everything works is so 1. Unconventional, 2. poorly communicated and a very reluctant participant, the doorman of the building, who is apparently in no way affiliated with Sosuite, had to show me how to get inside through much obvious frustration and disinterest.
Everything about this entire experience felt so very contemptuous. Worst stay I’ve ever had by miles.
This hotel was the best I've stayed at so far! It had a kitchen stocked with olive oil, salt, and pepper. The convenience of having a washer and dryer made my stay comfortable. The parking was easy to arrange at the front desk, and the fact that it's right behind the hotel was incredibly convenient. If I come to Philadelphia again, I'd love to stay at this modern hotel.
I am not one for posting reviews often but I was so pleased with this booking. A single night, but they allowed me to check in early. The room was spotless and large - a great value for what I spent. I didn't use laundry or kitchen or fitness room but really liked knowing they were there. Would absolutely recommend...
I was unaware that this place was in this neighborhood. It was new to me. There were people hanging out in front that were a bit questionable, yet friendly..
The room was so nice. It fed my artist self. Love the high ceilings and the kitchen!!!! Also the bed and the washer and dryer in the bathroom!!! What????The huge windows made my morning so calm from the sunlight as well!!!One suggestion. Put a reminder that the A and B rooms are inside of the doorway. I never opened the door because it just had a number without a letter..
They day of arrival I noticed that our check in time was updated on the portal to a later time without my knowledge. I had to reach out to have this corrected. However, our room was not available at our scheduled check in time and we had to wait in the hallway. Once we were settled in we noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Not being a smoker this was disgusting to me. We thought it was coming from outside because the windows were open. Once the windows were closed overnight the smell did not disappear. We later discovered that it was coming from the bathroom vent. When I reported this because I did not want to be held accountable there was nothing that was done to resolve this matter.
The state of the rooms were also dirty and very used with scuffs and dents all over. Not as nice as the pictures.
We had a really nice stay with SoSuite in Philadelphia. The neighborhood is definitely improving and there are some good bar and restaurant options in easy walking distance. The condo was awesome. Very clean and comfy beds. The service was good and very responsive. The check-in instructions didn’t arrive ahead of our arrival but the owners sent them immediately upon contact.

I booked a queen room with city view. Was upgraded to a king upon check in, great! Not great: the view was an apartment building. The bed was so hard and stiff that we woke up sore and not well rested. The room was so stifling hot that we had to use
