Came here on a Saturday night. Was able to make reservations that afternoon. We were seated right away. It did take some time for us to be seen by our waiter, but he had a large party which he was taking care of at the time. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the Sorrento Eggplant. The sauce was wonderful. The garlic knots were delightful. Not horribly expensive, especially in a tourist town.
Nice restaurant in the Banner Elk area in NC mountains. This place has multiple rooms with each room a different theme. One is a romantic, more formal room, next is a wine room, one is a tasting room and one is a Bistro style room where we eat. Menu in all rooms are the same except for the tasting room. We went with two options, the calamari salad and I went with the Chicken Parmigian over veggies. August, our waiter was extremely attentive, and the manager Felton kept checking to make sure all was going well. The food was good and fresh. Was it the best I have had? No, however, for a place up in the mountains with such a great menu, wine list, and service, this place gets 5 stars from me. I think my wife would have asked for the calamari sautéed. but it came fried, and we went with it. nice and fresh! One thing I missed was the outdoor seating option, which we skipped as these FL folks were too cold.
As someone who appreciates good food and efficient service, my recent experience at Sorrento’s was a mixed bag. The interior had a welcoming vibe, blending modern and classic styles, setting the stage for a promising meal. The Rigatoni Bolognese was impressive. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce rich and well-seasoned, and the meat was tender, creating a flavorful dish. The Mediterranean Salad was equally pleasing, with fresh greens, a light dressing, and a good balance of feta and olives. However, the service didn't live up to the food's standard. Despite being seated quickly, I waited too long for a server to attend our table. My drink order took about 20 minutes, and the server checked on us only twice, which was surprising as the restaurant wasn't busy. This aspect of the dining experience was disappointing and needs improvement.
Definitely we enjoyed the time! Delicious crab cake, meatball, calamari with an amazing wine. The server did an excellent job, sadly I don’t remember his name 😞
The ambience of the lobby was gorgeous however the actual restaurant atmosphere and decor was disjointed from the lobby. You could definitely tell this was the lower end of the restaurant chain and I definitely felt separation from what I paid from the experience I had. Our table was too small and could not handle the size of the menus plus drinks. The starter rolls were decent but a little tough. I got the bruschetta as an appetizer which was seasoned well but the presentation was lacking. At my table we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and tortellini Sorrento. The fettuccine was lacking flavor and desperately needed salt. The tortellini was delicious and could have used a touch of salt to brighten the flavor. Our server was on top of it all night but I did feel rushed to order. He was extremely courteous and expected our needs.
This restaurant has grown into an entire food center with diferent class levels, all the way to members only area. The food that we had was amazing!
Lorelei was a gracious hostess and communicative as to status of our table. Tyler was a fabulous server who was not only attentive and professional, but proactive when considering our needs. The food was absolutely delicious. The meatball appetizer (large enough to share) a feast for the eyes and tummy (love how fresh the ricotta was!) and given the size of the meatball, the fact that it was cooked to perfection and retained an amazing texture and flavor - true artistry. My husband could have made a meal of the garlic rolls - so fresh, light and delicious. We ended our meal with the cheesecake....c'mon - generous slice and fresh and delicious. Sorrento's you make it hard to eat at home, no matter the weather condition ;)
Very limited menu, every served with fries. Expensive for what we bought. 2 prime ribs sandwiches with fries and water $38.96. Could buy the samething at your corner grill for a lot cheaper. Fries were nothing special just frozen bag of crinkle cut. The prime rib sandwich was just ok.

This place is a great venue to watch a live play or musical. We've seen numerous productions put on by the Lees-Mcrae drama department and have always been thoroughly entertained. Just watched the 9 to 5 Musical and we loved it! Large enough venue
The Taylor House Inn is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway; Perfectly nestled near Boon, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. While the location is perfect, the Inn itself is even better. Charming and hospitable! Tessa and Bernard are the perfect hosts! Ev

Our favorite restaurant in the area! Some of the best Italian I've ever had. Definitely worth the price, most lunch entrees under $10. Pictures are the tortellini carbona, lasagna, and make your own pasta bread bowl... Strawberry shortcake cheese
Solid & good! Pulled pork wasnât the freshest Iâve had. Smoked sausage was superb! Ribs were really flavorful but offered a little resistance. (Iâm spoiled on BBQâ¦) overall was really good! 7/10 Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant
