This is a very attractive property with beautiful landscaping in a convenient location. Everything seemed to be 5-10 minutes away. We stayed for two nights in a suite/apartment with a full kitchen, living room, and bedroom with a very large, modern split bath. There were extra towels which helped a lot since housekeeping isn’t daily. There was no body wash in the shower, only shampoo and conditioner, so BYOBW. (It could be an Alaska protocol though because we’re at a very expensive lodge tonight, and they don’t provide body wash either.) The front desk was able to provide an extra pillow and facial tissues but said only housekeeping had the key to replace the shampoo which was nearly out. The large bottles are great but should be checked frequently, especially between guests. This unit was a big step up from the original room we had reserved which had a broken toilet when we arrived, and it was extremely spacious and modern. The bedroom had good storage, and the bed was outfitted with a “Purple” mattress. The bedside lamps were turned on/off and dimmed by touch. The unit looked new and had two very large flatscreen televisions, one in the living room and one in the bedroom.||There were a couple of things that would have made our stay perfect: a “security lock” for when you are in the room, and if they could correct the online information that indicates check-in is at 2 pm. Apparently it is at 3 pm so we were told we’d have to pay $50 extra if we wanted to get in the room at 2:30 pm. ||All in all, I would recommend Sophie Station Suites if you are looking for convenient, attractive accommodations in Fairbanks.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise package. The place is nice, the suites include a bedroom, living room and full kitchen. Ours was spacious, clean and roomy and the staff is very friendly. The biggest negative is that the food is obscenely expensive, by any standard, for very average food. The breakfast buffet is almost $30/person and it's just breakfast food...there is nothing extraordinary; no champagne, roast beef, salmon, omelette station, waffles, etc. You can choose from eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, or cereal and pastry for almost $30/person (I think it is actually $28). It would be a hard pass for me had i known in advance. The other negative is the location is not great, it's safe and quiet but it's not near anything interesting. However, there is a Safeway grocery store nearby so you can grab some groceries to cook in the kitchen in your room and avoid paying at the restaurant. Another negative, you only get room service every 4 days, so save those towels! However, you can get fresh towels at the front desk

Sofie's Station Suites was a nice start to our group trip. It was comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Fairly close to the airport. The rooms were nice, comfortable and had a kitchen area, but are showing some wear and tear. I felt the pricing was high but it is the height of the Alaskan tourist season. It has a nice restaurant and bar with outdoor roof deck.

Awful smell, unsanitary air, despondent apathetic manager. i checked in and was immediately hit with an unpleasant smell. After staying a night the smell got worse and we realized it was coming from the AC unit that was running. The AC was on because the temperatures were in the 80s and smoke from local fires put air quality into purple unhealthy levels. After going to my family’s other booked rooms I realized they did not have the awful pungent smell. I asked a staff member go to my room and she agreed the smell was bad. She then found her manager to speak with me. This is where it got frustrating because the manager couldn’t have cared less. She only offered to look at the AC unit and spray heavy deodorizer to “mask the smell”. Then she told me if you’re trying to cool the whole room, you’re over using the ac unit….i said that makes absolutely no sense. When she wasn’t offering any other alternatives, I asked to be moved but the hotel was booked. Then I asked for a discount and she only agreed to discount one of the nights. If you book this hotel in the summer, make sure your AC unit isn’t rotten so you have to pay for a bad room. I left the hotel and moved myself and two young kids into best western suites around the corner which is far cleaner and more a pleasant stay. Also, we didn’t wake up with awful headaches from a disgusting AC unit, there was free breakfast, and a more pleasant staff.

Clean rooms. Staff could have been friendlier. Air conditioner in the room could not be turned off. The rooms have a kitchen. There is also a sitting area and a counter to eat a meal in your room. |Front desk staff seemed to not enjoy helping customers. Food choices were very expensive.

We stayed at Sophie Station July 6, 2024 for our Cruise Tour through Celebrity Cruise line. It is a very cute hotel with interesting things from a car museum thorough out the hotel. There is a restaurant on site which had a good breakfast we did not eat dinner there as it was closed when we arrived at the hotel. There are a lot of fast food places near by and a Safeway grocery store, but the best was Fred Myers store it had everything you could want from food, souvenirs, too clothing.

Sophie Station was right on when we needed them!! Flights can arrive early in Fairbanks and the night shift-Thomas I believe- happily took our last minute reservation and his female co-worker got us right into our room. We were surprised by the suite with full kitchen!! We had a great breakfast of corned beef and eggs before hitting the comfortable beds. The rest of the time we were able to shop at Freddie's and eat like royalty. The hotel could be called "dated" but we chose to see it as "nostalgic" as there were antique dresses and dressers on display. Kyle was also super friendly and another notch in the belt of Alaska. Overall we had a FANTASTIC three day stay and can recommend it highly!!

We were booked to stay here 2 nights as part of a Norwegian Cruise line land tour. The rooms are very spacious and everything is clean. There is a full kitchen and a separate living space independent of the bedroom. The bad arts? The decor reminds me of my grandparents house in 1978. Even the kitchen appliances are old. As for the location, it’s not really convenient to anything but the airport and tour busses. There are 2 grocery stores a couple blocks away, but we were approached/ panhandled by several scruffy looking men along the way. We only interacted with the front desk staff once. Our flight out of Fairbanks wasn’t until 8pm so we asked for a late check out time. The clerk was very crabby in her response and gave an angry “no!” Response. At least they held our bags for the airport transfer and let us spend time in the lobby. The onsite bar and restaurant are very overpriced, even by Alaska standards.

Great place to stay! Location is the best, right next to the downtown park. We went for a walk at the park and across the river. Gorgeous views. Definitely worth spending the little bit of extra $$ to stay here!

The rooms were clean and beautiful. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The shower pressure was bad and the breakfast options could have been better. The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. The location was fantastic- close to walmart

So the rooms were very spacious but definitely a bit dated. They have baseboard heat that wasn't working properly so the room was pretty cold the first night. The customer Service was great, they immediately sent someone up to look at it and he could
