We stopped by to spend the night on our way to Itasca State Park.
The booking and checking process went easy and smooth. We made the reservation using the KOA app. They had everything ready for us in a booklet when we arrived late at night.
All the facilities are new, big and clean.
Our tent spot had water and electric hook up, a big pebble tent pad, and was close to the facilities.
The only things missing are a sink outside for campers to clean their dishes and more trees to provide some shade.
Cyndi and Thor were the greatest! Loved karaoke! They made sure we had a great time and didn't lack for anything! Wonderful place! The beds are most comfortable, I wanted to take one home! They have so many things planned for everyone to do! Would definitely go back ! Thank you cyndi and Thor for a great time!
This KOA is a great place to stay. The bathrooms are clean and new. They are currently working on the WiFi.
Very disrespectful care taker. Guy jumps you for ever little thing. When you try to talk with him he immediately argues with you and threatens to kick you out. What a customer service person.
Such a great Campground with so many fun activities. Highly recommended
Pros are a quiet and under-used RV campground. In the 4 1/2 weeks there it was never more that 1/4 full. Adjacent to the SOO Line Trail is the biggest draw. Restrooms/showers are nice and clean.
Cons are the relatively high price and lack of any shade trees.
Very well kept, sites easy to get into. Need more amenities on site, very small playground given the space available. Wish fire rings were a bit larger as many people come in large groups. Didn’t have the greatest experience with a campground host, unfortunately that was my only interaction with a staff member. If you’re just looking for a place to park your camper and go riding or fishing, and come back and have a small fire not a bad place. I’d stay here again if we go up to the area, would make sure it isn’t mid summer due to lack of shade if it is really hot and sunny out.
Very nice KOA. Staff were very friendly. Only issue was no trees, but overall a great place. Would stay again.

This might be my favorite MN State Park. There are hiking/skiing/horseback trails, I particularly like Landmark Trail with it's wonderful views of interesting terrain and Ogechie Lake. The archeological/anthropological information is fascinating, an
I like smaller places like this, the staff talk to you like an old pal, the food was a little expensive but almost everything is if your located near a casino! Overall, other then expense, they were a bit understaffed. Overall, cool place to grab a b
