Son's Charburgers - American restaurant in Wagoner - 1100 W Cherokee St, USA

I would not be surprised to find out that somewhere in the Oklahoma Historical Society archives, there is a picture of settlers in covered wagons parked in front of Son’s, eating hamburgers and fries. Onion rings had not been invented back then. You don’t need carbon dating to judge the age of the building. The design, the weathered wood trim and the faded discolored paint date the building somewhere between pre-Sonic era, possibly even pre-Dairy Queen. It had to be the hang out in Wagoner, in its day. It appears to be a family owned and operated business. My wife and I have grabbed burgers here several times over the past ten years. Nothings has changed. The flame still flares up on the grill when the cook flips the burger, confirming the char flavor will be present as advertised. It is a one-man kitchen, so your order may take a few minutes if they are busy. Good charburgers and onion rings. Today my wife had a half order of 3-way. The chili is very mild, lots of cheese and fresh chopped onions decorated the big bowl of food. Skip Sonic and McDonald’s. Have a home town Son’s Charburger instead.

Just like the name says, they charbroil their burgers. Each one is made to order fresh. They are good burgers, really good onion rings and fries. Cherry limeaid was also enjoyed. Check out sons if you are in town.

Absolutely in love with the 3 way spaghetti I get it 1 to 2 times a week! Only negatives are the entrance (sucks like all other wagoner roads) and sometimes the wait length. Other than that love it!

Two stars for the smell (smelled good) walked in lunch time and the place was empty except for a couple cars in the drive through. Stood there for a couple minutes at the counter. No greeting. Looking in the back and the cook was grubbing in the lettuce and tomatoes with no gloves. Someone else back there coughing and gagging. Yea I grew up with places like that but these days it isn’t common. Couldn’t bring myself to stay and eat.

I’m gonna be honest, the outside is a bit dreary, but once you come inside, the people are super nice and welcoming. It’s also a lot cuter and nicer on the inside. About the food, it was INCREDIBLE. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Seriously, worth the price. OMG, so juicy and crispy. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Got a small double cheeseburger and small onion rings. Burger was fresh and tasted great. Veggies didn't overpower the taste. Great charburger taste. Probably pre made Patty but great Flavor. Onion rings are great. Better than other places(sonic). Really nice lady at the counter and super skills. Takes orders from walk in counter, window orders x 2. Cleans tables. Brings out food. Probably more. Good attitude as well. I'll eat here again when I'm cutting through Wagner

Definitely will not be going back. Underated and not worth the money i paid for. Burger patty was super thin and it was super to be a large. Paid almost $8 and the onion rings where all burnt. Did not get my money's worth at all and had a terrible dine in experience. Plus the psychopath they have coming in there acting a complete fool and getting free food. Made me feel like i was in a mental ward

I've been frequenting Son's since 1988 and will keep frequenting forever. Their double bacon cheeseburger is a masterpiece of a burger. The "deluxe" salad is big enough to replace fries if that's your thing. They make their own Ranch dressing. Daily specials, Monday's Indian Taco special is my favorite. Best cheese balls around.
