Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center - Featured Reviews (1013)
Upgraded rooms are beautiful and spacious! Updates made are great and modern. Easy walk to downtown Sonoma.
Breakfast is in a guest room and open at 7 am so us central time zones guests were waiting a while and got hungry. Food was basic and stale (bagels, yogurt, apples).
Biggest issue we had was the pool deck is SO slippery! I exited the pool carefully after another guest told us to be careful because it is slippery and I completely wiped out onto the pool deck. This will become a major issue if not fixed. A slippery floor sign will not solve this issue - thankfully nothing besides my big toe really hurt.
But overall, would stay again for convenience and nice rooms.
This hotel is ideally located for Sonoma Plaza, just a block away with all its history, wine tastings, bars and restaurants.
The hotel was clean and our room (213) was very comfortable with great facilities and a corner view.
The pool and hot tub were closed during our visit, the ice machine was broken and they didn’t have the vouchers for free wine tastings that their welcome pack mentions, so these things need to be addressed.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for its location and value.
Great hotel with really lovely staff in a good location to the town square. Lots of parking available very close to rooms. They’re undergoing refurbishment at the moment, rooms have been done to a really really nice standard, we had a spacious ground floor room with a patio and gate onto the pool, the public areas are still being done so reception/breakfast area is all in 1 small room at the moment. Breakfast selection was ample for the price we paid. The pool was ideal, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers, there was always a spot with sunshine, I could have stayed there all day.
We loved this place! Great value with updated generous sized rooms with private patio, sitting area with fireplace, beautifully appointed bathroom, luxurious bedding, complimentary internet, breakfast and no resort fees. Quite and very friendly staff make this our go to place for Wine Country visits and only a few blocks to Sonoma Square. You can't go wrong as its a beautiful room in a great location.
This hotel is in a great location in downtown Sonoma. Every single staff member we came in contact with was awesome. The courtyard, pool area was well maintained and very inviting. The room was very nice and clean. Great hotel in the middle of Sonoma for a get away. We will be back.
Stayed here for one night as part of a road trip along the Sonoma/Mendocino coast. We had a great room, very spacious and a great bathroom with super shower and toiletries provided. We hadn't had a shower the previous morning because the shower in our previous motel was rubbish, but this made up for it in spades! Everything was very clean, and we loved that we could walk to the town centre to pick up some groceries, go to a restaurant, stroll around Sonoma, it was brilliantly located. However, because there were some ongoing works at the hotel, the reception area has been relocated to a pokey little room at the side of the main building and we encountered the two most dreadful receptionists (both female) we had ever encountered on all our travels abroad and in the UK! One, the lady who checked in, was quite old and her mouth and nose were covered by a surgical mask, so we couldn't hear a word she was saying, and she came across as a bit of a "jobsworth". The other girl (much younger) didn't appear to have a clue as to what was going on and when we overheard her dealing with another couple who were complaining that there were no sheets on their bed, gave us the impression that she really didn't care and seemed to be doing this couple a whole favour by going to check out the situation for them. We were not impressed at all at both their attempts at "welcoming" guests to the hotel. Ongoing improvement works and a temporary reception is no excuse for poor customer service. Thankfully, we didn't have to visit the reception area again, and were just able to check out quickly the following morning. But despite all this, it's a great place to stay - but if you can't do steps then it's probably worth asking for a downstairs room!
Beautifully renovated rooms. Very clean, comfortable, and Sonoma proud with local art for decor, local wine and beer at the front lobby and breakfast items from a local bakery. Fantastic, friendly, and helpful staff. My daughter said “it’s the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in” ❤️
The rooms are.. Odd. Off-center fixtures and art, like it was rushed to get done and put together with a hodge podge of furnishings. We were looking forward to enjoying the pool and hot tub in the middle of August. Both were closed for repairs with no prior notice. We went out in the morning and came back at 12:30pm and our rooms still were not made up. Convenient location is the only plus.
I cannot begin to describe how wonderful it was staying at Sonoma Bungalows. I went to Napa/Sonoma to celebrate my birthday in September and my bestie came along, we had the best girls trip! We stayed in the studio unit and it was perfect for us. Loc
First time there and we really enjoyed it. Wonderful and homey rooms/suites. Outdoor areas are very inviting. Very close and convenient to the Square. Marcie was an excellent host!
The Donum Estate is a 200-acre winery located in between Sonoma and Napa Counties. A top-notch producer of Pinot Noir with one of the largest private sculpture collection in the world. Well worth visiting.
The BEST overall experience. Touring the vineyard, tasting the grapes, excellent wines, and the views. Ivan was a terrific host. We will definitely be back again.
Come for the coffee, stay for the good vibes! The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating and you can tell they enjoy their work environment. The drive thru moves fast and if you want to stay a while, there are tables outside.
As someone from New York, I have a high standard when it comes to bagels and I have to say Homegrown Bagels impressed me with their lox special on everything bagel. Itâs not quite a NY bagel but pretty darn good and the best Iâve had in Californi
Another great evening at Cafe La Haye; this time for my daughter's birthday. It is so nice to see the familiar faces of the staff and folks that seem to be locals.
All of the specials sounded tempting, as did the menu items. I had the ahi tuna tarta
Elisa is such a great hostess! Our group rented three rooms this past week, and none of us had any complaints, because we totally enjoyed it! this location is just incredible, and the town of Sonoma is so charming. You are scheduled half of a block o
Do yourself a favor and stop here if you are in the area or driving through Sonoma. The food and drinks are fantastic! The pozole rojo and pozole verde were delicious â not something you can find in many places! I highly recommend any cocktail with
