SonoHotel I Drive Orlando - Hotel in Orlando - 8300 Jamaican Ct, USA

This place is a DUMP!! They charge you an additional “resort fee” when you show up to check into the property. The lady I dealt with was very rude. The check in process took nearly 30 minutes and it was midnight with nobody else waiting. The room itself was appalling. The carpets are repulsive and the entire room outdated and unkept. No microwave, no ironing board, non working hair dryer, non working alarm clock, broken locks, broken lamps. I asked for a replacement hairdryer twice they never brought one. The WiFi didn’t work the entire time they said it was because it was raining. It’s Florida it rains nearly everyday. The room is so dark and they keep it that way so you don’t see the filth. The AC is extremely loud and if you leave it on the weed smoke from their wonderful patrons seeps in. Didn’t eat the breakfast I was not about to pay $10 for my 3 year old to eat at the buffet. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it was a convenient location and my daughter loved the pool area which actually seemed fairly kept up.

My experience was awful. My mother and I were in town for the weekend and arrived later than expected, or I would've found another hotel. They are not letting customers know before booking that the hotel is under construction and receiving renovations. We were put in a room that was filthy and had mold on the ceiling. The A/c didn't work properly, and the phone was out. After complaining, we were moved to another room that was clean but had no microwave, which is an accommodation we paid for and needed. I was told that all rooms don't have microwaves and we would have to wait hours to be placed in a room with one. At that point, we just settled and did without. Things got worse as we were on the 4th floor, and the elevator closes to the room went out. My mother, who has problems walking, had to walk to the other side of the hotel, which it a good distance to use the one that was operable. I talked with others who were also unsatisfied with their stay. I feel this establishment is only concerned about money and not customers. All these problems could be avoided if they just shut down until renovations are complete.

A little dated, but our room was clean, smelled nice and the staff was accommodating. Pool was huge and clean!! We stayed here 2 different days on our 2 week trip. Great location, easy to go rat or shop and across from the orlando eye! For 80 bucks, this was a great deal

We stayed her for three weeks for volleyball nationals. Excellent service and nice staff. They remembered us daily. Breakfast was really good and the pool was clean and comfortable. Great location! Rooms are not fancy but they have what you need and are clean. Right across from Icon Park and lots of dining and activities. Highly recommend for the value.

Great location, that’s why it got 2 stars. Breakfast 7-10 am it would have been nice if they had it before 7 am. You can’t just go eat breakfast, you have to check in at the front desk to eat breakfast every morning. There was never any towels in the pool area. We stayed here for a week & never got any room service. I was told if I needed any housekeeping done I had to request it before 11 am. At check in He explained this saying they come in for the 3rd day for housekeeping. Day 5 they never came once. I had to ask for towels & toilet paper. They told me they were short on towels & I had to request it before 11 am. I have been here for 5 days already why haven’t you at least came and take the trash out & give us fresh towels like you said they were coming for at least Day 3. We never got towels. We check out in the morning. The location is great but that’s it. My room did not have a microwave but my neighbor did & allowed me to use it. My TV had issues where it didn’t show the entire picture on the screen. AC units leaking on our outside walkway making the hallway outside wet & slippery.

The name has changed. It's now Sono Monaco Something or other. Management Changed from the Time I booked the Room, without notice. I cannot recommend. I got a good price on hotwire, but this was based on my familiarity with Quality Inn. The first night there was no sleeping. Groups of people running abou the place screaming and yelling. The other guests have mostly no respect for anyone at all. Trash, messes, spills, and noise. The toilet was broken, it overflowed twice. The TV was broken. It had to be replaced. Mold in the shower, no toilet paper refill, two kellenx, a 20 year old mini fridge, .Kids in the pool after closing - that is a great way to have the time enforced! People smoking week right out in the open, and everything else too. It's not a 2.5 star by any means. I don't know about Quality Inns anymore.

This was an overnight stop on April 6th,2024 on way to Florida. I booked this location through Choice Hotels by phone. We just have to recommend to anyone reading, AVOID this worn out Filthy, Roach infested Quality Inn. The room appeared reasonably clean at first, but we found the toilet was not operating properly and would not flush properly. They did get a young man down to the room right away and he was able to adjust the toilet valve and get it functioning properly. The bathroom tub had black mildew/mold on several tile grout joints and the bathroom floor corners had not been mopped properly to clean the black dirt built up. In the middle of the night, my wife turned on the bathroom light to find a Cockroach scurrying across the floor of this nasty room. Outside, the first floor Ice machine was broken and not working. I had to go up the stairs to the second floor and walk about 75 yards back toward the middle of the motel to find a working ice machine, and that one was filthy and leaking all over. Both machines looked like they had been that way for some time. The parking lot and grounds were extremely littered with trash. Honestly, if we had not been so road tired when we arrived, we may have just tried to find something else. Quality Inn used to be fairly reliable amoung the Choice Hotel partners, but it has been steadily slipping the past couple years and are really no better than the bottom of the barrel Rodeway Inns of Choice Hotels.

I stayed a whole week here. It's a cozy Hotel(in the cut)with beautiful views of the Ferris wheel and the Drop. Any time I come to Orlando I will stay here and the cool part, the Hotel is getting a renovation which will make the stay even more awesome. Staff is very nice and always smiling and approachable. Every restaurant you can think of is literally walking distance from Sono. I highly suggest staying here for your vacation, you won't be disappointed.
