The best place to stay in Nola and the only place we stay at! The staff over the 19 years, amazing!! Ox actually its my favorite hotel in my fav city!

One of the nicest hotel’s I’ve stayed at. I still reminisce on the freshly squeezed orange juice I’d drink in the stunning courtyard every morning. They also had phenomenal freshly baked croissants. My stay here was a few years ago, but I await my return. I know that the Soniat House is undergoing renovations right now, but prior each of the rooms were different with their own unique charm. I hope that they maintain this unique splendor. I still remember the fluffy kitty that lurked around the property too she was the cutest.

I forgot to write a review for this place (I was there late December of 2020) and I still reminisce on it. The most lovely hotel I’ve ever stayed at, the architecture, the garden and the stairwell will forever be in my memories. It was like stepping into the past with all the amenities of the 21st century. The staff was absolutely fantastic and they all seemed to love their job. I will be staying here again next time I’m in NOLA. To the owners and staff, thank you all for the excellent accommodations!!!

Our three night stay, at the Soniat House, was perfect. After a long day of travel, we were warmly greeted by the staff and made to feel at home. Our room had its own balcony where we sat and had breakfast (oh, I can still taste those hot biscuits) or a glass of wine. Our bed was very comfortable and cozy. We found the Soniat House to be quiet. The premises are pristine and inviting. The location is perfect for walking around the city. Being in the French quarter is a plus. What a great place to stay for our first trip to New Orleans. Thank yo7 to all the wonderful staff!

We stayed at the Soniat House for the first time, and simply put, it was perfect for us. It’s located in a residential part of the Quarter, but the main road does get a decent amount of traffic at all times, so don’t pick a room facing the street if you are a light sleeper. The rooms are a good size, well appointed with updated bathrooms all in a traditional style. The hotel is more like a wonderful private residence with a lovely courtyard, inviting common rooms, and continental breakfast served all day. The staff are very professional and are there promptly if you need them but are quietly out of the way. This is a quintessential NOLA experience which may not be for everyone, particularly those seeking more traditional hotel style amenities, such as a large bar or gym, etc. We look forward to returning in the future.

Stayed 4 nights here with my husband in November 2020... I got the recommendation from Andrew Harper. It was such a wonderful experience.. feel like home..charming townhouse.. great location with walking distance to everywhere.. staff is friendly, attentive and helpful... the manager got us upgraded to suite #16 is facing the garden. We requested breakfast in the garden and It was just fabulous. The bed is clean and comfortable, the bathroom updated and clean. The place is so unique and has NoLa vibes. They handle well for Covid 19 pandemic with mask and everything. we even got an option to do non contact express check out. I would go back to stay in this charming house again.

The hotel is in a location convenient for the French Quarter. We spent three nights in a large overpriced room off the courtyard -- dated but nicely decorated. Some lamps were not in working order. A very small, older, but adequate bathroom. The in-room breakfast service featured excellent coffee and biscuits and two out of three mornings the service was on time. On the third, and last morning, the service was 30 minutes later than the 30 minute wait promised. The staff was clearly overwhelmed that morning. All positive features of the hotel were compromised, however, by the fact that one evening we left the hotel before turndown service and left a ring on a nightstand and when we returned it was gone. Leaving it there was our fault, no question, but the salt on the wound was the blasé attitude of the hotel management. They said they were sorry, yes, but seemed to treat this as an entirely routine occurrence, We had to follow up with the front desk to find out if the staff had located the ring, rather than anyone following up with us. Bottom line: use the in-room safe and watch your valuables -- should you chose to stay in this older, overpriced hotel.

An Absolute Gem, Superb Staff, Bliss! Every Boutique Hotel should use this as its template Review of The Soniat House Hotel Reviewed 12 July 2018 Even before I arrived at Soniat I had an insight into the warm hospitality that was the theme throughout our stay. From the warm, helpful welcome from Mark and his coleague, to the professional manner of Calvin, the housekeepers and the managers, they could not do enough. I hesistate to use the term hotel to describe Soniat, that's like calling Buckingham palace a house. The rooms are luxurious, I really want that bed in my home. Situated on a peaceful street, with a church next door, and well situated to get around the French quarter, and other attractions. Everything is quaint, peaceful, and friendly, a haven. The setting is beautiful courtyards, with water features, classical music played softly, and a well stocked honour bar, what more could you want...wait did I mention breakfast? No meals are served apart from breakfast and I absolutley rate it as a five star experience, my first taste of American biscuits was fab, they have to be the best biscuits, fresh orange juice, great coffee (apologies I'm drooling just thinking about it). It was a great choice, we hope to be back and I am more than willing to recommend it to anyone looking for an oasis of calm, warm hospitality. Go, you won't regret it.
