Sonesta Simply Suites Clearwater - Hotel in Clearwater - 13231 49th St N, USA

We stayed here for our honeymoon in May 2024. This hotel was comfortable, clean, and inviting. They were doing some work on the building, but we were not inconvenienced by that at all. It was great to have a full kitchenette area to cook simple meals. Every staff interaction I had was pleasant. They were all friendly and helpful if we needed something. The bed was super comfy and the linens and towels were not worn, as you see some places. A/C worked GREAT!! This stay was a great value for the price. The only thing that may be an issue for some is that it isn't close to the beaches. It's about a 20 minute drive to the Clearwater Marina area. Just be aware of that when booking. All in all, it was an excellent hotel and I would absolutely recommend it.

I don't know how this hotel has any good reviews. The room smelled like cat urine and we told the front desk and they said they were "booked" so couldn't get us a different room and said they could give us febreeze. The power was out one day and the front desk didn't even tell us when we walked in when it was clearly out and we had to go ask them. And on top of that we got pretty sick during our stay and we think it's probably from mold (cat pee smell). Also, you can hear everything going on above you and in the halls. Wish we would have just went and found another hotel nearby.

Positive: This Sonesta delivered amazing value. The room was spacious and had tons of storage, which seems rare. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the layout was smart. Lots of outlets and a good workspace. Negative: The hallways seemed to always be in need of a little vacuuming, but we know there were families with lots of kids there so I don?t fault the hotel for that.

The interior design was impressive, creating a modern and cozy atmosphere. However, the location felt a bit questionable at night, which may be a concern for some guests. The room featured a flat-screen TV, though it was disappointingly dim and appeared dated, reminiscent of early 2010s technology. Staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped make my stay enjoyable despite these minor drawbacks.

Close to the basic needs, safe area, could be cleaner. My room clearly had termite problem. I used the gym (very old but served its purpose). Has a large desk area and spacious kitchenette. Room needs a more detailed clean. Checkin was easy and front desk person was friendly and efficient

I stayed here for one night and it was overall a descent room. The bathroom was clean but the My TV barely worked the screen was so dark I couldn't even watch TV so that really sucked but I really didn't have time to complain and switch rooms... the bed was comfortable so that's a plus.What made my stay even better is Amy who is very knowledgeable! She went above and beyond to handle the one concern I did address with ease and that I'm thankful for so for that reason I will be back just have to check the appliances first 😌The little things matter

Let me first start off by saying check in was horrible we booked 8 rooms for a group trip Each person had something wrong with there reservation even though we gave the front desk person the conformation numbers ect. Our last person to check in it was stated by Austin that the hotel was full and they weren't able to honor the last person in our group even though she had her own reservation. Austin stated there was a double reservation for Carrie so they gave Sarah the room however she needed to check out on Sunday even though our group isn't leaving until Monday night. A few of our group members got stuck in the hotel elevator. The hallways are disgusting trash everywhere the hallways smell like Marijuana I thought this was a non smoking hotel I'm highly allergic to smoke. There has been a smelly comforter wrapped up in a ball outside of room 223 for 2 days now. I've had my refresh towel sign on the door for 2 days now and still no towels. I asked for a room with a couch no couch. The bathroom in the lobby was disgusting last night the floor was full of pee there was pee all over the seat and floor and it stunk the front desk guy was extremely rude as well. All of your front desk people have attitudes you should be grateful that we brought all these people here and chose your location to stay for vacation from out of town. I will never stay here again.
