Sonesta Essential Indianapolis Airport - Hotel in Plainfield - 6109 Cambridge Way, USA

The Hotel was very nice. The staff was excellent. The Room was very spacious, clean and private (It was at the end of the hallway). The only issue I had was that the hotel does not have 24hr maintenance available. Of course they offered for me to move to a different room. But I didn’t want to lose my room for a minor issue which I ended up resolving by myself. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was an issue because they did not have the correct rates from when I booked the reservation so it was quite time-consuming to get that resolved. I had a handicap accessible room on the first floor down the hall from the pool. It was the noisiest possible place to put rooms. The door to the pool slams every single time it is used and shakes the entire room. The door slamming and kids and parents screaming and yelling in the hallway goes on until 11 PM. Also, the room itself had a dampness to it. More importantly, the mini fridge in my room was turned off or not working and completely full of black mold really bad. They were not able to bring us a new mini fridge until 12:30a.m when we should’ve been sleeping. The hotel owner/manager didn’t even remove the nasty fridge that was full of black mold. He just picked a new place for the new fridge and set it down. Then, we discovered that the sink in the bathroom didn’t work at all! It did not even turn on. My request to have it fixed was never fulfilled. We had to go the entire weekend using the mini bar sink to wash our face with no mirror. There is no mirror anywhere but in the bathroom. So good luck sharing a room with family members or anyone else and not having access to a mirror when the bathroom is in use. The shower was very dirty and quite disgusting. It also had other peoples hair in it when we checked in. The breakfast had barely any food available even though breakfast should not have ended for two hours. The staff member was unable to keep up. Overall we had a very unacceptable experience. I think the name of this hotel should be called Sonesta UNessential. This was my first and last time ever staying at a Sonesta Essential.

The good: Upon entering the hotel lobby is nice and the front desk clerk was very pleasant. The bad: The first thing we do when entering a hotel room is pull back the mattress and check the bed and frame. Unfortunately there were bed bugs on the mattress cover of the box spring. We left immediately. I definitely don’t recommend staying here due to this but if you do, check the bed!

Our first time staying at the Sonesta, we drove 5 1/2 hours for a taekwondo tournament. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby area was very nice and beautiful. Our room was very nice, ran out of clean towels. The from desk was able to give us 1 towel, we made due. Many of our academy friends maybe staying here with us next year. Highly recommend, clean and nice rooms.

I will probably change my review if they could try at least to make it right a little. Which as of right now they haven't even tried. We booked the room because of the pictures of the room showed we would have a jetted tub...Well they told us when we arrived today that they had the wrong pictures of the room on there website. So we didn't get the room we thought we payed for...Also we paid with a pet on the hotel website for the room. We put that we had our dog. On arrival at the hotel they said we owe them a extra 75.00 for our dog. No where on the website that was mentioned..We feel they took us for alot of extra money...And didn't get what we paid for....I will be writing a few more reviews about this place and I will write the Attorney General about this... Because I am sure this is happening to more people than just us...This is a very corrupted business transaction that is going on around here...

This is a really clean hotel and for a decent price. The room had some cosmetic issues (i.e. lamps on either side of the bed didn't work, no outlet/USB near bed) but overall the room was very clean and comfortable. Check-in and breakfast staff was friendly. The breakfast included hot food options (egg/cheese omelet, sausage links, biscuit/gravy, & waffles), fruit, cereal, juice, muffins, yogurt, and more. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great location. Nearby restaurants and pretty quiet area. I paid for a suite. Was given a regular room. No credit has been applied, so far. I will amend this if they make it right. The room we were given was mostly clean. The bathroom floor was cracking and dirty. The beds were rock hard. Don't book 3rd party!
