Sonesta ES Suites Andover Boston - Extended stay hotel in Andover - 4 Tech Dr, USA

Positive: daytime and evening staff were very nice, polite and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was a nice bonus. Negative: There was a very large group of young, non-English-speaking children, mostly unaccompanied by adults staying at this hotel, perhaps for some event in the area, who were very unruly, unsupervised, and simply put, rude. Nicely renovated extended stay hotel. Location was convenient to the highway, and felt safe at night with a well-lit parking lot. Rooms were nicely furnished and were generally clean. Nice to have a full kitchen, fridge, and living room, in addition to the bedrooms. We opted for the 2 bedroom suite, which had 2 queen beds in one bedroom with its own bathroom, and a separate bedroom and bathroom with a king-size bed. Walls/floors were a bit thin, so do expect some noise from neighbors walking around/playing music, but when we turned on the Vornado fan we brought, we couldn’t really hear a thing. Breakfast was fine, and common areas were well-kept. Front desk staff was always pleasant during our 2 stays here, and the gym has a water-bottle refilling station, in addition to several new machines and a Peloton bike. Overall, great stay the first time which led to a repeat visit later the same week!

It is located in a lovely quiet suburban area with many corporate offices nearby, with easy access to I-95 and within driving distance of good restaurants. The staff was very friendly, the room and all facilities very clean and well kept up. The complimentary breakfast was very good, lots of healthy variety, and the breakfast room was divided into several nice small and each different, seating areas where families and couples could enjoy the meal. The room can also be used for games (provided) and laptop work. We would go out of our way to stay here again.

Front desk staff is very nice. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds. No pillow or blankets for the use of the sofa bed. Very busy hotel, seems to have people living there full-time but that's not a bother to me. One thing I found was that all the cleaning staff and breakfast buffet staff were very rude and cold, not that I expect full attention but when you smile or ask a question I would expect a little kindness and response...they just look at you and turn away. The night before check out, there was a police presence there for a brief time, and later, there was a group of guys with cases of beer drinking in the lobby...(seemed to have been a nightly thing, i had seen) When I had checked out in the morning, the front desk clerk had asked me if I heard anything during the night that was concerning....I didn't but I'm assuming they had problems that night.

I had to spend 8 weeks there after flooding and I am really pleased with my choice. The negatives I have are small. Some of the water fixtures were flimsy and a bit finicky. The 2 top stove was very slow. Quality microwave and generous sized dishwasher and fridge. The kitchenette was well kitted with most things you would need to cook, dishes, a saucepan and a frying pan. The sheets could have been softer but the bed itself (and the pillows) were great. Breakfast was okay. Hot oatmeal with tons of mix ins was my go to. The eggs etc were okay but the "taco mix" got a bit boring. There were muffins and toastables and a rather nifty pancake machine. The coffee was okay but I brought my own coffee. As a dog owner I was thrilled. I was able to get a 1st floor room near 2 exits for easy walking. There are frequent exits so you are always near one. 99% of other dogs were well picked up after and the owners were great at communicating so avoiding situations was very easy. Most of the surrounding office buildings were very comfortable with dogs being walked on property and there are a ton of green spaces but lots of hills. There was even dog art in the room! The staff was amazing, Rebecca and Cara in particular. When my "4 week" stay kept getting extended they were wonderful. Everyone was super sweet with my nervous dog and always offered cookies. I would definitely stay there again of the need arose.

I have stayed here a few times since my son started college in the area and it’s been a great experience. It’s located in an industrial but has parking and homelike amenities. We used their available outdoor grills and patio and saw others sitting around the fire pit. The rooms are modern and they also have a great breakfast. Thank you!

Cockroaches all over our room disgusting, the receptionist said "we probably brought them with us'. We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bedroom suite for $875.00. There were enough towels for the first night and we had to go get our own from the desk for the second night.

A couple of weeks ago there was a large snow storm in the area and I had lost heat at my house. My family ended up spending several days at the Sonesta ES which was amazing. The 2 Bedroom suite was ideal for my family of 5 spacous and modern. With hot breakfast provided each morning we only had to worry about our dinner. We were able to make our own dinner each night in the kitchen. The room was clean and comfortable. If I ever need a placec to stay again with my family I will only choose the Sonesta ES.
