Don’t do it!! Unless you have dietary restrictions and have no choice, please do not be seduced by the golden looking crust on the catfish (fishy, slimy, taste old, no seasoning) or the mouth watering looking crab claws( a waste of crab claws with no seasoning) . Legend has it that no seasonings can be found on the premises. Looks can really be deceiving. However the service was superb! They have a really nice and friendly staff. I rate this place a 2.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Sommer's Place. The price is very reasonable, I ordered dinner for three adults and a child plus an appetizer for less than $55 before tip. I ordered the meatloaf and three sides and my wife ordered the pork chop with three sides. I ate every bite. My wife didn't complain but had some small critiques. Location isn't bad but the details and decor feel small town. Server was attentive and not pushy. I would definitely come again

Family owned restaurant with a variety of options on the menu. Our group of 14 chose to eat here and I didn't hear one complaint about the food. The fried oysters were said to be very good as well as the prime rib. Hubby and I had the meat and 3. Fried chicken breast was good, country fried steak and mashed potatoes were good also. The best was their squash casserole! I wasn't expecting much but was surprised at how good it was! I'd go back just for that! We chose the fruit crisp fir dessert and were surprised at the large portion. Best of all was the fantastic service! Our server took care of all our needs quickly and with ease. Wish I could remember his name!

My family has gone here for years & it’s delicious. We always get crab claws. I usually get a salad with French onion soup and it fills me up. All of their food is pretty good. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly.

The waitstaff was very pleasant and overall the restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was not seasoned at all. The hushpuppies were dry and tasted like absolutely nothing. The fried fish and fried chicken were "blond" in color as if they hadn't even touched oil. Both were completely unseasoned. The creamed corn looked like mashed potatoes? The only thing I ended up eating were the fries and mac and cheese which was pretty basic mac and cheese, no different from grocery story quality. Was disappointed because it looked like a good place to try.

I wasn't expecting this place to be anything special, but I was surprised! I ordered the grilled pork tenderloin with a sweet potato. It was a simple, yummy dish. My friend ordered the fried pork chop with mashed potatoes and fried okra! Her dish was amazing. The pork chop was beautifully breaded. I wanted to eat her food too! The customer service could have been better, but our server was likely just overwhelmed by our large party. It's a must-visit spot. It should be noted that I was able to stay in Whole30 guidelines and eat at this restaurant.

The best meat & three restaurants in Montgomery area. Excellent food so you may have a short wait to get a table on Sundays and during lunch. I do wish they were open Saturdays.

80% of this review is N/A. I ordered the fried chicken, french fries, and peach crisp. We used to order from here at least once a week. I guess they have a new cook. Chicken and coating was bland. Zero taste, and it was a small piece. All 9 french fries were ice cold. The peach crisp saved this from being a 1 across the board. Please go back to the cook you had in 2022.
