This is a beautiful little spot, we were blessed with a impromptu bagpipe concert the third day in a row that we came. If you were hoping for a history of the area, it is more of a history of ecological developers of the area. I was hoping more for the pioneers of the area.
Beautiful pit stop for a photo. We didn't visit the museum.
Did not experience the museum, but the foot bridge is iconic, beautiful, and picturesque. This is one of many gems on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert that is really worth consideration when planning a trip to the Acadia region. Stop in and visit Somesville and Southwest Harbor and get a bit off the beaten path.
Behind the library there is a tiny damn. Very Rocky during low tied, and during high tied the rocks are covered and it becomes all about the water view. Both tides are beautiful. If you are staying around look at both tides. The white bridge across the street is surrounded by a beautiful garden area and is a place where I like to take pictures of family members when they are in town. thanks
Beautiful quick stop! The bridge is gorgeous and you can learn a little history.
Beautiful and peaceful even though right of the main road. Worth a stop.
Absolute beautiful bridge this was something out of a fantasy. At night the lights really make it glow

For an exhilarating experience in Acadia National Park, I highly recommend tackling the scenic trail offering breathtaking views of Jordan Pond from the summit. This trail presents a moderate challenge and can be completed comfortably in 1.5 to 2 hou
We were looking for a place to eat our lunch and Otter Cove Causeway was perfect so we set out our camp chairs and enjoyed the zen. On one side of the road you have a view out towards the Altanic with high cliffs rising up and on the other you have
Great little beach and warm lake water. It's perfect if you want to swim and the sea is too cold (which is probably always the case). Very few spots of shade so bring your umbrella on hot sunny days!
My first trip to this state and I'm so glad I found this place! My camp site was amazing, next to the water with gorgeous views! I rented a kayak & paddled around in the sound, absolutely beautiful. The gentleman in the office was friendly, helpful &
The food and service at Abelâs is all exceptional! Our group ordered lobster rolls and lobster bisque for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed both. We tried lobster rolls at a few different spots on the island and this was by far the best! We also really
