I love Sol Grill and Misty!! Her love of food and bringing our community together is evident in the overall vibe of her restaurant. The food is consistently good, the ambiance is always welcoming and you feel like you’re eating dinner at a friend’s house. We have networking meetings and dinners here and she’s always accommodating and makes it easy for lots of people to gather. Visit Sol Grill when in town and feel like a true local.
This restaurant is my go to. The food is amazing, There is so much variety and you feel healthy after you leave. The staff is so helpful and so knowledgeable and it literally is the best restaurant in Newport Beach.
Amazing food, accommodating staff, and perfect atmosphere. Had my mom’s birthday dinner here and it was nothing but amazing. Highly recommend!
Amazing dinner tonight with my daughter and sister. Owner was so sweet and gave great recommendations. We tried amazing meatballs, had this beautiful salad! All dinner items were excellent! Finished the night with the best ever Tiramisu ❤️❤️
Phenomenal dining experience! Fantastic cuisine, superb service by people who care. Easily in the competitive top three restaurants in SoCal. (Misty, Marissa, and Daniel to name a few, all others were friendly, helpful, and welcoming.) Try EVERYTHING on the menu; you will not go wrong. And frankly underpriced. From wine, appetizers, dinner, and desserts...bring a date, family, or staff here. You and Sol Grill will be the center of conversations for days!
A nice little place near the New Port beach. It is not on the beach but in the square. Only few tables available. Since it is a small space , I do not recommend bringing small kids and they can be disturbance to other customers. The Staff were very nice. My wife and I visited here with our 1 year old. There was a constant flow of customers coming in and out. We ordered the Kung Pao shrimp for appetizer. We were thinking the classic Chinese dish. But this was completely different. It was saucy, spicy and tangy. It tasted good but soon messed up my stomach. So BE CAREFUL ABOUT THIS ITEM. For main course I ordered Cajun blackened Swordfish on a bed of rice and vegetables. It had a special salsa on top of it. Though the portion was really good, some portion of the fish was not fully cooked. It was because of the thickness of the fish stake. Also, the Cajun seasoning on top was burned so you only taste CARBON. NOT THE FLAVORFUL FISH. My wife ordered chicken alfredo. The portion was really good and can be shared. But the sauce was too runny. She wish it was more creamy. Based on observation it is a great place for couples or friends to hang out and slowly enjoy the food.
Fantastic spot for some great food and amazing hospitality. I met Misty (owner) and Megan (host extraordinaire) who were nothing but welcoming and engaging. If you want to support a local business and enjoy great company and tasty food look no further! Stop in and I’m certain you’ll be just as pleased as I was. Misty even recommended her local favorites to give a try.
I called to see if they were open because I didn't see any reviews and I didn't want to go for no reason, they said the were so I drove over. I walked in the door and everyone just looked at me like I didn't belong so I went down to the restaurant below to ask if I was at the right spot and they said yes, up stairs. I asked if there was a private party going on and they said no, so I went back up and began to sit at the bar and was told it was a private party. Recognizing his voice (and the background noise) from when I called earlier, I told him I called and no one said anything about a private party but he insisted he didn't know who I spoke to and told me they should have room for me downstairs. And this is why I rarely go to Newport Beach or anywhere in "the OC!"
