Sofia is a perfect spot to take a group for both a fun and energetic atmosphere and great food. The service is always prompt and friendly. They will take your entire order at once and course it out well. You’ll want to try as many things as possible, because everything on the menu is delicious. The mushroom bruschetta, gulf shrimp, pizza, and pistachio pesto pasta were standout favorites. We always look forward for a reason to go back, and we always get the same reaction from friends and visitors when we do.

This place has delicious food with a very limited menu. We were a group of 9 so they kept pushing family style. So we order 3/4 things from every menu section. It WAS NOT enough food. Their serving are not meant for family style lol. So do not let them bully you into getting family style options unless you are a party of 2-3 people. It’s a pretty pricey place, but that was expected. The service was great, with the exception that it felt like she was forcing us to do family style when we had all asked to order our own entrees. Definitely suggest giving this place a try. It’s super cute with a great ambiance.

Loved the atmosphere at Sofia's! Everyone was so friendly, including the other diners. The cocktails, pizza and chocolate sorbet I ordered were all quite delicious. Will definitely be back on my next trip to New Orleans. Thanks for a lovely evening!

If you're looking for a big bowl of pasta, look elsewhere. The main focus of this place is the meats you can purchase which are family style? Not sure how a NY strip steak at 12oz is family style for some people but OK sure. The bruschetta is nothing like you are accostomed too, it's good but totally NOT what you are used to. Tons of mushrooms on it. We ordered the Polpette, which is just 3 meatballs. They were just OK. Nothing to write home about. Not worth 15 dollars. You get 3 small ones. We ordered 3 pizzas, the Margherita (a 6 out of 10 Appreciate the fresh basil, but not crispy basil), the Bianco pizza (9 out of 10. If this had some meats on it, a 15/10. Try it with chili oil and parmesan cheese) and the commandetore (a 6 out of 10. It doesn't have cheese, everything just falls off as you eat it. The meat is great, but nothing holds it down. Combine the Bianco and this one and it'd be a FANTASTIC pizza[if you steal this Sofia I'll be ready for my royalties lol] ). Also be prepared to have your Italian corrected, which honestly is fine, but it's on the same level of "my pleasure" you get from chick fil a. This is one of those places you go to just to say you went to try and impress your "friends" to think you have money, but if you want a good meal, look somewhere else.

Located in the Warehouse District on NOLA, Sofia is an amazing Italian restaurant. They serve classic Italian dishes with a modern twist. There’s seating inside and outside. We sat at the bar right by the pizza oven which was nice.

This place was truly perfect for the vibe we were looking for. To start, they were playing 90s r&b all night which I absolutely love. Everything that came out of the kitchen was exceptional, and our server was very well informed on the ins and outs of the menu. I would definitely come back here if I were to visit NOLA again!

We arrived on a Wednesday for a 6 PM reservation and were promptly received and seated. The restaurant wasn't very busy at this point. The restaurant has a clean, modern feel to it. The focus of the decor is on Sofia Loren. However, the pizza oven stands out in stark contrast to the rest of the room. Our server for the evening was Lily. Lily was absolutely fantastic. She took our drink order and offered excellent recommendations while we went over the menu. Since we were here last April '22, the menu's approach was geared more towards shareable items rather than dedicated entrées. We chose the Pescare (trout), broccolini, and Commandatore pizza to share. Desert was the Butterscotch Blondie sandwich and Zeppole. I opted for a cabernet, and my wife had the lambrusco. Everything was perfectly prepared, the trout, moist, and full of flavor. The pizza was a thin crust style and delicious. The dessert was excellent as well. We had a great time. By the time we left, the place was packed.

Just ate here for dinner this evening and we had Tiberius as our server. He was fabulous and made sure that we were well taken care of. I ordered the peach pizza and the gin and egg white pistachio cocktail, And both were really really good! Apparently all their ingredients are made in house so everything is very fresh. I will definitely keep this place on my list to return again soon.
