So Restaurant Bar - American restaurant in Little Rock - 3610 Kavanaugh Blvd, USA

Neither of us had ever been here but had heard it was under new management and decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did! We started out with some of the best calamari I’ve ever had. Both my husband and I got the surf and turf special. The steak was immaculate as well and the shrimp. We enjoyed a delicious season cocktail and local beer as well. Topping the night off was an absolutely delicious Cinnamon Toast Crunch crème brûlée. Not only were the food and drinks unbelievable but the wait staff and atmosphere were top notch. The family feel that the staff gives made us feel so welcome and at home in this cozy slice of heaven. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

Visited here last night by reservation and we actually got there about 40mins early and hoped to just sit at the bar and get a drink while waiting for our table but was sat down right away. My special lady and I always prefer a booth and to sit right next to eachother as we enjoy sharing meals and doing our usual game at restaurants we play together while waiting for our food. They sat us at a 2 person sit across table at first and then accommodated our wants for seating which was very nice. That meant we took a 4 person table in the front of the restaurant across from the bar. Not sure if that was acceptable being a place of reservations but it made us happy. The communication at the restaurant must have been off because we asked about deserts first after realizing they are not on the menu and was told there was only one. We ordered our drinks and they came out pretty fast then after we ordered our food. We watched many tables that came in after us get plates and appetizers before ours was finally brought to us. It was over a 40 minute wait. The food was very good taste and appeal wise. We both got the special which was a 8oz steak with asparagus, crab mashed potatoes I believe, shrimp and some sauce that reminded me of a warm steak sauce. It was a play on a surf and turf. The potatoes were a little cold but both steaks being mid-rare were cooked well. Then shrimp and asparagus were a lil salty for my taste buds and hers as well. The manager came out did apologize for our wait and to our surprise offered us a free dessert they had many more to offer all the sudden. We had the tiramisu and it was honestly the best part of the night. If you sit up front you can expect it to be loud and everyone greeting each other like it’s a normal place for some to go to. The bar was packed before we left. Also there is only one bathroom for everyone. Expect to wait for your turn. Definitely not the fine dining experience I was hoping for with the prices $173 and I honestly recommend anyone to give them a chance seeing as there’s room for growth but we will not be going back. I have been to France, Italy, Germany, Dubai I have visited many high end restaurants. This is high end but not a restaurant I would visit again. The food was played well with presentation, but was some what fold. For the amount I paid it should have duroc pork chops. Their menu changes constantly therefore one can't predetermine their palate choice. The server was the only highlight of my visit.

Went here for my birthday dinner. NEVER AGAIN. Seated in the back of the restaurant party of 2. Choose So for a full course meal. Over looked and had too ask for silverware, drinks, my dinner was luke warm, my dates food was over salted. Everything served out of order. I thought this place isn't that big possible they they are busy so I went to the bathroom and to my shock the front almost empty 😳. $248 dollar check. Save your money and go someplace else we have several restaurants in town that do a great job. I will add this USE to be a really great restaurant.

I had been wanting to try this place for over a year and a half and finally got to it tonight for my birthday. It was spectacular! I had a cucumber elderflower gimlet, golden beet salad and a stunning smoked mushroom soup to start. The salmon and a glass of Red Zinfandel for dinner were heaven. My fiancé had a grouper special that was a gorgeous, delicious dish. Service was impeccable. Fine dining without the snobbery. Very much look forward to a second outing!

Fantastic experience. The tables overlooking the garden next door was the staple of the french dining ambiance. We ordered the Treen of Life (Cauliflower Steak), the chicken, the salmon, and the steak. All were perfectly prepared and presented. The sides were as equally delicious and perfectly plated. The deconstructed chocolate desert lived up to its decadent description, and the drinks, and service was top notch!

Normally share only positive info but our experience was just bad. Once seated we had to ask for the server to take our drink orders after about 20 minutes. The server struggled thru the whole experience seeming to be unfamiliar with the menu, drinks and struggling to pour water into our glasses. The drinks were just not good so we relied on water during the meal and several times had to ask her to fill our empty glasses. The food…. Cheese tray $19 for 4 small baguette slices and 3 small stacks of cheese .. main courses were ok taste wise (grouper was a bit bland and tasted more like white fish than grouper and the Regina filet was good but only had three strands of lump crab meat), but the portions are ridiculously small. We all left after paying more than $300 still hungry. Really bad service and small portions of ok tasting food with a big price tag means we won’t return.

Wow! I loved So Restaurant. The food and service we're amazing. Our waiter was on point and very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list was very extensive and had a great selections to choose from. I loved our food and appetizer. I definitely recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back. Thank you very much. What a classy little place.
