2/2/24 - Another great time with the great folks at Snug! Snug Harbor is a unique venue in Plaza Midwood area. We were seeing a show and a friend advised, knowing I'm disabled, that I contact them ahead of time to ask about accommodation. They were amazing. Day of, they knew me as soon as I gave my name. Made sure I was OK. It really makes going to a show so much different when you are treated well. Thank you. Plus, the indoor room is not the only attraction. In back there was a DJ and bar. Out front there are picnic tables. The interior is decorated with lots of unique, fun, almost reminiscent of my goth club days. Huge Props and I look forward to the next show here.
Have had some great nights here, but have been less impressed as of late. Drink prices are about the same as being at the Fillmore. $11.50 for a can of craft beer is too much. Made worse by not having prices listed anywhere. A few months when I went they had a menu, but when I checked out everything was $1-$2 more. I asked about it and they said the menu was outdated, so I guess no menu is maybe improvement? Also I left my tab open one night and they added a 42.5% markup. I thought about disputing with my bank because their sign that literally reads “30ish percent will be added to tabs left over night” seems illegal, or perhaps just scummy. Where it’s really gone down hill recently in my opinion is security. They just need 1 single employee to monitor the inside crowd during a show, and not just during the headliner. Too often there has been a bad apple and the employees just don’t care or aren’t there to notice. For example: dude kissed 2 different random people who were not interested, then proceeded to attempt to mosh but kept putting people in headlocks and running around, leading to someone’s head hitting the ground. Where the security? Who knows. Another show I went to the performer legit had to say to a guy in the crowd, “dude can you please act nice? You’re killing the crowd” and then a couple songs later, “can someone make this guy play nice?” Was a bit embarrassing to be honest. Can almost guarantee that guy won’t be rushing to perform in Charlotte again, or at least at this venue.
Always a blast at this pirate bar with epic shows by local and touring bands. The sound, light, and drinks are great. Back patio is super cool too with an outdoor stage, bar, and games. You're guaranteed fun and an adventure with this place! (Photos of Akita, Charlotte-based funk rock band)
THIS is the place for good music & friendship. Love the variety of music, the easy going crowd, you’ll never have a dull moment here. I’ve played a few shows and always want to come back for more!.
Finally caught a show here at the weekend and it was amazing! Really fun bar that’s serving just a little bit something different in Plaza Midwood. Will be back!

This is the best fitness place I have ever been to!! I never knew working out could be so fun. Itâs a great way to meet people in the area. All the instructors are awesome. They go out of their way to make the workouts fun.
